In the beginning, they all waited for Alpha Al Gore to carry the banner once more - such a candidate was he, so close had he come, such a race had he run. Now they are 10, and Hillary has yet to declare.

Over the summer, all eyes were on the fading John Kerry and the surging Howard Dean - Joe Lieberman, Gore's 2000 running-mate and the only moderate in the Democratic field, probably having maxed out at 12 percent or so, rendering him "un-nominatable" in the party of self-righteous leftism.

Thought something was fishy after the blonde troll made an appearance on the daily show.
John Stewart had his nose so far up her rump, halfway through the "interview" all that was visible was the soles of his shoes. honestly, I'm surprized it didn't snap off when she sat down.

Dean has already told the Dems that he can't in good conscience have 'his people' work for another candidate. (His reaction to Clark's entery of the race.) If he's actually serious, look for at least one Dem loser to go Green Party and play Ralph Nader in 2004.

Graham has officially dropped out, so technically the field now stands at 9.
