So now that the Republicans are the majority party when can we expect to see fundamental overhauls in issues like taxation, gun control, economic regulations, vouchers and other important issues? Oh wait, with the way the Republican-majority Congress is spending we might as well have the Democrats in power. Monkey see, monkey do apparently.....

The Republicans are NOT the majority party. They hold the Governorship - that's it. However .. the statehouse needs a housecleaning and if they give Arnold too much of a hassle, the dems could find themselves out of power in the statehouse too, as well as Lt. Gov., Atty. Genl., etc.

"So now that the Republicans are the majority party when can we expect to see fundamental overhauls in issues like taxation, gun control, economic regulations, vouchers and other important issues?"Not that you'd notice (being a 3rd Party partisan and all), but since Bush won we've cut federal income taxes twice (down to $45 per year for a family of 4 earning $40k), killed the estate tax, killed the double-tax on dividends (as of 1/1/04), repealed the federal restrictions on arming pilots with handguns, and we're putting in our first federal pilot program for private school vouchers in Washington, D.C.
