You have the exact same opinion I had when visiting this site last week when someone put up a post about leaving the CA GOP for CF-RA.org -- never had heard of them and started doing some research after the threats of more and more people started being posted about going to a 3rd Party.
Then when I went to the site and it said that we support "principled" conservative candidates, light bulb went on -- 3rd party grassroots effort forming? They actually sound like the Constitution Party not the Republicans.
I decided to check and see if this group was located on the Republican National Committee website -- nothing -- couldn't find them which I found to be really strange! If they are associated with Republicans, why weren't they on the RNC website? Still don't have the answer to that one.
Saw the thread today encouraging conservatives to leave the CA GOP and join this outfit -- lightbulbs were popping away for me -- glad to see that I am not the only one on here skeptical and now they are spreading across the Country? This lifelong Conservative Republican sees absolutely no need for a "principled" group that claims to be Republican but not recognized by RNC!
No wonder California GOP has had trouble electing winnable candidates with this group since the vast majority of our Conservative Republican candidates don't meet their narrow requirements for a candidate. No wondered Issa was called a RINO -- sure he would be shocked as we were! At least they could have taken a different name or was it done on purpose to fool people into thinking they are the CA GOP?
Thanks for bringing this out. I almost posted on that other thread this morning but your research is more thorough than mine!
