The complaint isn't that they're out to take over the world--the complaint is that they've crippled the CA GOP.
People who think that blasphemy should be punished by stoning the blasphemer to death are a super minority.
But they're the folks who glommed onto the Californian Republican Assembly and now run the thing, and pretty much ran the party in the 1990s.
Hardcore socialists like the Clintons are a super minority in this country--but the Clintons run the entire frickin' DNC. They have power in the DNC. Unfortunately for Democrats, that makes for a the Clintons having a LOT of power outside the DNC.
Mere minority status is not necessarily proof of non-power within a specific realm.
This is a hit piece to discredit the Christian Right as a whole

But they claim to be Christian, and perhaps they sincerely think they are. It wouldn't be the first time someone took their cues from a holy book and FUBAR'd the whole thing.
