Ouch. Hope you're feeling better today.
I'm lucky to still have a hand right now. My chainsaw slipped as I was cutting a tree limb with it today, and the back end caught in my shirt as the bar fell, still running, against my wrist. If the chain brake hadn't cut in and stopped the chain when it did, my new nickname might be "Lefty" right now. I've got several good gashes on the wrist (one of which I might still go get stitched up), but they'll heal a lot faster than I can grow a new hand.

Yikes. Stitches are for bleeding, so if you're still bleeding go for it, but even if not you might consider getting a tetanus shot or antibiotics.
I still haven't completely gotten over a nasty slice'n'dice from a Cuisinart blade last Thanksgiving. Take care of yourself.
