Senate poised to grant illegal alien immigrants amnesty

Yesterday, October 2, the full Senate Judiciary Committee came close to approving S. 1545, which would repeal the current federal law that bans states from granting in-state tuition for illegal aliens. Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT) introduced this legislation, the Development, Relief, and Education for Minors (DREAM) Act. Fortunately, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) raised objections to the bill and was able to temporarily stop the committee from moving forward. But the bill will be brought back up for committee consideration the week of October 13 (after next week’s congressional recess). The bill is expected to easily pass the Senate once it is passed by the committee

Just for the record so that we all know how Republicans are 'helping' with the problem. Hmmmm, wonder how our illustrious 'conservative' Senator will vote on bill S 1545, especially considering this event happened? Probably she'll call for NC taxpayers to embrace the stupid idea Carolina has of footing the bill for the poor students to go to college for free.

Oh wait a minute, this happened in North Carolina. Giddy doesn't know how to get back here since the voters of NC put her in Washington. So she probably doesn't even know this happened. Could one of the Giddy faithful please call your Senator and tell her about this? Not like it would make a bit of difference...
