Don't know.

When asked the cause of his death the attending physician responded...
"This man was terminally ugly!" A sooth sayer once told Arafat that he would die on a Jewish holiday. When he pressed her for which day she responded..."Any day will do!".
Well, maybe now Mrs. Arafat can get her dishrag back!

Yeah, remember Yassar's damage control after that? He did his photo-op pretending to donate blood for the 9-11 victims.
Um-hum. No one except the French bought that little act.

We must look at this thing from the point of view of a Kremlinologist. His minions have total control over the information about his health and would only want to release that information when it suited them: when political gain could be made, or at least when the power struggle for succession had concluded.
I think he's dead or very near dead, and the silence, confusion and FUD we're getting on the topic is an indication of the power struggle and novitiate political befuddlement behind the scenes.
After all, these things were confusing enough to assess when the Russians were involved, and theirs is a culture finely tuned to long range planning (think chess). The Palies, on the other hand, have never had an opportunity they haven't squandered foolishly, and are not exactly the highest-caliber minds in the ways of politics.
I find myself hoping he's dead, though I have no facilities to predict what his death will mean...be it political chaos and infighting among the Palies or the rise of a brilliant and strong successor.
For now, his death would be enough to cap a great week.

No, I mean I will pray for his soul because he will need prayers for his soul. Would I be sad if he were gone? Heck no. Just one more evil person who can't seem to try to get along and live in peace in our tired old world. It may solve a lot of future problems...who knows? But...he does have a soul. Just didn't know how to use it is all for good instead of evil. If he is gone I'm happy I am not in his shoes.
To: dennisw
My gosh. From those pictures, his teeth died decades ago. It's only a matter of time before the rest of him catches up.

"Even if he is, Hamas probably won't reveal it. He'll be on video and audio tape messages released by Hamas for the next 10 years visa vis Bin Laden."What they will do is wait ,until, Israel bombs again or there is a conflict with Israel soldiers , then they will announce he was killed by the Israel Army and he went down as a Martyr.

So General Pershing captured 50 terrorists.... "I want no prisoners. I wish you to kill and burn; the more you kill and burn, the better it will please me. I want all persons killed who are capable of bearing arms in actual hostilities against the United States...The interior of Samar must be made a howling wilderness."
--General "Hell-roaring Jake" Jacob Smith,
Samar, the Phillipines, ca 1899
In the days of dopey dreams -- happy, peaceful Philippines,
When the bolomen were busy all night long.
When ladrones would steal and lie, and Americanos die,
Then you heard the soldiers sing this evening song:
Damn, damn, damn the Filipinos!
Cross-eyed kakiac ladrones!
Underneath the starry flag, civilize 'em with a Krag,
And return us to our own beloved homes.
