I am beginning to sound like a broken record on this, hitting every Rush thread that I trip across.
Rush's legal problems could be totally unrelated to drug use.
He had a drug dealer as a housekeeper. If she sold drugs from his house he is liable. He could risk forfeiture of his house.
He had a drug dealer with free access to his house. Standard M/O on these low lifes is to roll over on a slightly bigger fish for immunity from prosecution. She had full access to plant any damned thing . Rush can never be sure his house is clean...
Since nobody knows anything directly law enforcement related other than "Rush is not a target in the investigation", what Ms Cline told the police may have nothing at all to do with what she sold to the Enquirer.
Don't forget the well connected
Demonrat attorney right in the middle of this..

"Rush is not a target in the investigation"
That's the official word from law enforcement.
I find it amazing that so many "conservatives" are willing to abandon Rush because of gossip and rumor.
This is nothing but drug prohibition run amuk!
On the bright side, more people are now tuning in to Rush.

Well, shi'ite muslims!
I forgot all about the liability/forfeiture bit.
Ouch! Manoman, he could pretty much say adios to the southern command center.

You actually think Rush would have people dealing drugs out of his mansion? Junkies showing up at his door looking to cop their pills?
Get real.
