The wheels are spinning, but there's nothing behind the wheel. Kids learn one thing pretty quick: what a bluff is. When kids realise that a parent is bluffing, discipline goes out the window.

And I'm supposed to take parenting advice from this mental midget? A burned child is now preferable to a popped hand... I think I get it now; just let little Johnny play in the street. Getting hit by an eighteen-wheeler will teach the insolent little bastard a lesson he won't soon forget.
