Check out the table of polls and dates on Real Clear Politics California Election page.
If I'm reading it right, Arnold Schwarzenegger won bigger than ANY poll had him winning, ever, at any point.
Closest was Survey USA.

No more than 10 days after the vote is certified by the Democratic Secretary of State, who has until November 15 to certify.
So, at the latest November 25.
To: BibChr
Apparently the polls underestimated just how deep the loathing of the ancien regime was in California. And just like the Bourbons, the Democrats have learned nothing and forgotten everything.

Why is it that when I read the CA Constitution, and it said "immediately" I somehow thought that it would be within a week or so. The RATs are going to hold onto power until the last possible second.

Of the votes for the top four candidates, the combined Republicans got 63% and Bustmecha got 33%.

Even if the sec. of state wants to certify, he has to wait for the official results from the counties. I'm certain one of the bay area counties will wait as long as possible.

Pro-Gay, Pro-Abortion, Pro-Hitler. Makes me really proud to be a Republican... Stick to the first two. The third is false and undermines the credibility of the first two claims.

Explination? I see two factors. First, the last minute sliming caused a backlash that was never incorporated into any polls since it was so late. Second, what qualifies as a 'likely voter' is someone the poll takers have standards for which include past voting record, which I think many who turned out don't have. Many first time or infrequent voters showed up yesterday, thus would not have included in the polls and where overwhelmingly for Ahnold.

The liberl pollsters wanted it to appear closer than it was. The Dems lost, BIG TIME.
