Foolish talk by foolish men
Once again Americans were treated to the likes of a Baghdad Bob as the Democrats own Transylvania Terry (alias: Terry McCullough) took to the microphones on the eve of the California Gubernatorial Recall election. As the votes were being tabulated to show a significant Republicans victory, Transylvania Terry was foolishly telling the world that, yes, it was neither Governor Gray nor the Democrats fault, but President Bush and the Republicans responsibility for anger being displayed. Just as Baghdad Bobs foolish words were noted as the victory tanks rolled into Baghdad, this Democrats foolish words were on display as the obvious was denied.
What happened in the great state of California and how did the Republicans win decisively in such a Democrat lead state? Could it be the economy stupid? Transylvania Terry would have you believe that it must be President Bushs fault, after all the Clinton Recession must never be acknowledged. Grays vehicle and college tax increases, illegal alien diver license debacle, fuel problems and a state lead by Democrats for years could never be claimed as cause. Might one suggest the Democrats own sexually challenged President Clintons campaigning on the Governors behalf would never be seen as hypocrisy by ugly, partisan media and Democrats. Their pointing to Arnolds uncorroborated, past indiscretions must only be seen as a Republican tactic, right? Dirty politics, now we all know that Democrats and their media cheerleaders never partake.
Folks, the 2004 Election is right around the corner, brace yourself, more showings by Transylvania Terry and his party will most certainly take place. However, one must remember, no matter how foolish the talk and often repeated, the huge Republican win in a state owned by Democrats can neither be seen as a disaster nor loss for the Grand Old Party, unless you are foolish by nature.
