McClintock Cautiously Optimistic About Chances
After casting his vote this morning in a Thousand Oaks polling place, Republican state Senator Tom McClintock expressed confidence that an upset win would put him in the governor's office.
In recent days, McClintock has repeatedly said his his third place standing in the polls doesn't respresent the true feelings of voters. He believes the people of California will vote their consciences, resulting in a victory for him.
McClintock had a message for those who like his message, but say he can't win and intend to vote for Schwarzenegger instead of him. "Don't vote for someone else's calculations, vote your own convictions," he said.
While disturbed by recent allegations about fellow Republican Schwarzenegger, McClintock also expressed skepticism about the charges because of the timing. Whatever his reservations, however, he said that if the accusations are proven, Schwarzenegger doesn't deserve to be governor.
McClintock has mapped out his first day in office if elected. First, he plans to sign an executive order to repeal the car tax, then take action to rescind expensive energy contracts, and finally call a special session to examine workman's compensation issues.

I stated my opinion.B.S. You insulted someone. If you don't want to be confronted, then stop doing that to people.

>>>Could you BE anymore disengenuous? In no way were my remarks disengenuous. I stated my opinion, that I thought you lacked principles and you responded by engaging in namecalling. No comparison between the two.

My opinion is that if I have to act the way you have been acting on these threads, I don't want any kind of principles that you have.
You've had a complete meltdown over there.

You FReepergirls need your own website, to spew your misleading and inflammatory gossip.Gossip. Yeah, right. Maybe you need a site where you can insult people to your heart's content, and they'll just roll over and not respond. Obviously graciousness is a one-way concept in your world.
To: Reagan Man
You're sad.

I am convinced that this hold out by TM was some kind of strategery. Wouldn't it help ensure that there would be enough yes votes for the recall?
To: DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet
It's a little sad to watch someone self-annihilate before your eyes.
Men with women issues are usually the nastiest. They have very fragile egos, you know.
I have a few suspicions as to why, but I'll just let you imagine.

To: TheConservator
Yeah, right. 13% This has somewhat restored my faith in the California GOP. It is nice to know that the people making all the noise, while loud, are very small in number.
