Not the Governor of South Dakota this time, but the Governor of California. And nit only that, but the Governor of California who was openly supported by a recent ex-president of the US. It is a party in shambles, losing power rapidly.

McClintock still believes that if people had voted for him instead of someone else, he would have won.

I have respect for McClintock's convictions, but not for his ability to get things done. He doesn't appear to be a leader of people -- or a mathematician. How could he fix CA's fiscal problems when he can't add up poll results and see the inevitable?

Our best scenario for conservative influence in CA: McClintock drops out and offers to work with Arnold, providing input and advice. However, as it is, McClintock took a credibility hit. That's truly too bad...
