That is a great site! The scrolling results viewer is wild, a little big to do other things on screen though.

I voted this morning. Turnout at my place is moderately heavy for 7 AM. It usually is light in most election years I've been there but its different this time. Its probably to the special once in a lifetime circumstance surrounding a statewide recall election for the Governor, the first in California political history. For the record, I voted "YES" to have Gray Davis recalled and I voted for Arnold. I voted "NO" on Prop. 53 and "YES" on Prop. 54. I think what I'm seeing augurs well if its the pattern across the state today. No doubt other California Freepers will let us know just how similar its in their areas to mine. Again, LET'S ROLL!!!

Does anybody have the latest poll on Arnold, McClintock, and Bustamante? I haven't seen anything for at least 4 days.

Yep...I figure 11%. Recall wins by about 4-5%.

I will personally send you $5 via PayPal if the recall margin is under 10% (ie 55-45). I think it might be closer to 58-42 with Arnie taking it by the 11% you mentioned above.

I'm voting for Arnold, but I'm really voting against the 'rat graft and treason machine, and their propaganda organ the L.A. Slimes.

Good Spot Report!

Now, help out all us incognescenti: What are the bottom line issues for Props. 53 and 54? What will a NO and Yes vote, respectively, provide for Californians?

Frank Luntz predicted 58-42 on the recall, and Schwarzenegger by 6.

Prop 53: Will require the state to spend at least 3% of the state budget on infrastructure.

Prop 54: Prohibits the state from collecting racial information (with certain exceptions).

Is there anything new on the rumors/stories of Davis preparing to shred documents in the event of his loss?

Any injunctions filed; any "watchdog" groups looking after the public interest?

Of course, shredders need electricity. We could treat Davis like Saddam, and shut off the power to his "palaces" (Governor's Mansion and state office buildings). Of course, he might try to burn them down.

And speaking of the Governor's Mansion, I'm looking forward to seeing the mob gathered around it, chanting "Get out of Arnold's house!"

If the socialists could somehow outlaw elections and maintain their power in perpetuity, they certainly would. Your voting and that of all the other Californians who vote, is a direct challenge to their most inward secret desire.

I never watch or participate in an election without remembering the time of our country's revolution. Of the lives and struggles of those brave souls during that time.

It's so good to see citizens stepping up and sending a LOUD and (hopefully) CLEAR message to the socialists.

while we can expect some legal moves from the RATS

I think you're being overly pessimistic. Yes, people can file lawsuits over every little thing, but they can be dismissed with equal ease as well. Given the expected margin of victory, it serves the Dems little advantage to contest the results.

Their strength now lies in falling back and re-grouping. There's a primary in March, and of course the big one next November to prepare for. From now on, Arnie will be the whipping boy for everything that is horrible about the Repubs.

Arnold is a RINO. By the way, do you disagree with that assesment of him?

Whatever Arnold is we will find out if and when he becomes Governor. The fact is, no body really knows what kind of Governor he will be with the exception of the psychics.

"Does anybody have the latest poll on Arnold, McClintock, and Bustamante? I haven't seen anything for at least 4 days."

From California Insider:

Here are the final results of the major independent polls that have surveyed California voters on the recall. The date of the last night of polling is in parentheses. The replacement results are listed in this order: Schwarzenegger, Bustamante, McClintock.

Source
Field (Oct. 1) 57-39; 36-26-16
Los Angeles Times (Sept. 29) 56-42; 40-32-15
Knight Ridder/NBC (Oct. 4) 54-41; 37-29-15
CNN/USA Today (Sept. 27) 63-35; 40-25-18
Survey USA (Oct.. 5)* 57-43; 46-34-13
Chamber of Commerce (Sept. 25) 53-41; 35-31-17
Knowledge Networks/Hoover (Oct. 4)** 59-41; 43-30-13

The Public Policy Institute of California, usually a major source on California public opinion, last polled on Sept. 17 and is thus not reliable at this stage in the race. For the record, the poll had the recall winning 53-42 with Bustamante leading Schwarzenegger 28-26 and McClintock at 14.

*Survey USA uses a unique form of polling with recorded voices asking the questions.
**This is an online poll using a random sample.

"Sabertooth kindly began the recall live thread... I do believe it will be a happening place today :-) "

LOL we were so excited to vote this morning...my husband woke me up with a "Gotta go vote!" so I jumped out of bed, got dressed lightning quick, went to check the clock and it said...quarter to 6, not quarter to 7! We were an hour early!

So for the first time in our life, we were first in line to vote. Felt terrific! Checked our chads and everything.

I dare anyone to just try and peel off my "I Voted" sticker!!! :o)

Think about how maniacal Davis is. He had the chance to stop down for the good of his party, and he refused. IT IS HIS FAULT that this is happening. He has nobody to blame but himself.
