Scarburough Country is getting ready to cover this up next... or shortly. Davis IS so over! Finally!
I've disliked the guy since Governor Moonbeam's days.

I'm proud to say, I never voted for Gray, and I will never vote for Arnold.

Whose this Davis guy anyway?
I thought the race was between McClintock and Ahnold!

Davis who?
;-)

I don't remember him in Moonbeam's administration. What did he do after that? Was he chief of staff to Jerry Brown? At least J.Brown is honest! Strange as he is, he seems to at least be straight-forward and his tactics aren't so under-handed.

"I was most shocked at the Los Angeles Times"Now Jill, what did you expect? It's like saying, "I was most shocked at the National Enquirer"
"But the newspaper...claims it has high standards."
So does the Enquirer.

Yes, I believe he was Jerry's Chief of Staff.
My only glaring example of Jerry not telling the truth was that fraudulent Linda Rhonstadt love tryst to Africa in the 70s. If that guy isn't gayer than a three dollar bill I'll... I'll... I'll take it all back. ;-)
Jerry has mellowed over the years. As you state he is pretty forthright when asked for his opinion. He's not your typical party animal. He's about as quick to dump on dems as he is on the republicans.
To: DoughtyOne
He most definitely seems gay! I never bought the Linda Ronstadt love story either. My friends & I got a good laugh out of that one. When he ran for Prez he went through a transformation with every state he visited...L.L. Bean shirts in Maine, union jacket in New Hampshire, farm outfit in Iowa, etc. He is flakey for sure but his general honesty is impressive...for a Democrat! He attacked Clinton in '92, called him "the king of sleaze" or something like that. Maybe it was only the prince of sleaze! But he got that one right. He seems reluctant to back Davis now, knows him too well.

If people would have listened to Jerry in 1992, we'd have been spared a lot. I believe he called Hillary a cheap crook or some such in 1992.

We cannot post from the Los Angeles Times here.
To: DoughtyOne
He's hetero... He and linda lived together when she was er, shall we say, rather lovely.
but the ZEN buddhist in him just makes him "mellow" as a fruitcake.
he is irrepressibly liberal, forgiving and laid back.
I always like jerry, he was america's first self-acknowledged mostly burned out doper governor... and he was a typical californian burnout of that genre.
and actually smart enough to know that if you told lies, they would come back and get ya... being a zen and all...
To: JohnHuang2
I've failed to see media uproar over this accusation.
