President George W. Bush welcomed Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki at an official state welcoming ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington today. He hosted a state dinner for Kibaki later in the day, the first such dinner for an African head of State since President Bush took power.

I don't like the bow either because it seems to chop her in half. Makes her look a little dowdy instead of regal. It doesn't look so bad in some of the pictures. Perhaps it's the angle of the camera.

Today a house guest was channel surfing the tv and I noticed CNN has a segment entitled "Daily Dose."

My Vikings are 5-0. I had a 1 1/2 inch thick Porterhouse steak, roasted to a wonderful medium rare, in the Ron Popiel (sp?) roaster, corn on the cob, and a glass of red wine...AND, I'm on the eve of California taking back our State....I think I'm in heaven. ---No, I KNOW I am!!!

Excellent article by Barnes. I appreciate how he explained poll numbers and typical 3rd year slumps. Lately I've heard from more than a few folks about Bush's **tanking** poll numbers. Then I heard O'Reilly make a big deal about it while interviewing Dr Rice. She was gracious about the questions but I sure would have liked if she had set him straight. :o) I always enjoy watching him on FOX.
