[history]
When found wandering on a Metairie street last month, the 8-year-old boy was dirty, bleeding and covered with mosquito bites, and hadn't eaten for two days, authorities said.
For at least a day before being abandoned, Stephen Crawford, who had never been to school, cannot read or write and doesn't know his own birthday, heard his father talk about "dumping him." On Sept. 23, Paul Crawford put his son in the car and drove from their Kenner home toward Metairie while the boy begged his father not to throw him out, according to police reports.

"Please Daddy, I love you," the boy said, to which Crawford responded by punching him in the nose, according to the reports. This guy needs killed.

Yep,
Right next to the mother who gave birth to the drunk baby.
Some (too many) folks just shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

Stephen was ordered out of the car. "Please Daddy, I love you," the boy said, to which Crawford responded by punching him in the nose, according to the reports. If I believed the media told the truth about stuff, I'd probably be bawling right now.

But on Purdue Street in Metairie, Stephen was ordered out of the car. "Please Daddy, I love you," the boy said, to which Crawford responded by punching him in the nose, according to the reports. How utterly sad. That so-called father needs to spend the next 20 years making little rocks out of big ones.

Situations like this would cease if the drugs were legal. Ask any libertarian!

A ghastly story, if you look at the dad's role in it.
But considering the circumstances, I have to wonder whether this migh not have been the best thing that could have happened to this poor little boy. My heart goes out to him -- he's about the age of my sons (who are 9 and 7).

Agreed, if it wasn't for the further harm I am sure that would already do to this abused little boy, his father should be disemboweled.

This guy needs killed.
I disagree, he needs to be locked into a dark windowless cell for the rest of his live, only let out to 1 hour a day. A cell as dark as his soul.

I am. Especially when I think of how many would like to have this boy.

I'm against capital punishment but fully in favor of torture. I say burn him limb by limb over a period of time.

I lived in Metairie several years ago so your story caught my eye. My daughter was young back then and I will always believe the entire area around New Orleans is not a good place for children. New Orleans has never been a pacesetter for morality so I'm sure it hasn't gotten better.
