A 'poacher' is someone who's not a native to the area. LOL...

I asked some locals about Game and Fish up there and they said: "No, we ain't seen them too much since somebody shot the lights off their trucks..."

Or my favorite: "Hey Vatos! They gots one of those fake deer over on the mesa! Let's go shoot it up!"

Stevenson Ranch up on a dead end near Lindrith. His brother in law Davis saw lights one night on his property. He and his wife went to investigate in their truck and saw a jeep with two "locals" spotting for elk. Davis told em to get the hell off his land and they shot him with a 06 thru his truck door. Died in his wifes arms right there. They knew the shooters as they were local poachers (mexicans) who had histories of crime up there.

They tried the two and they walked............free. They were so sure of themselves they didn't care if Davis's wife saw em or not. They let her live and stand as a witness. They just drove away laughing alledgedly.
