Therefore to me if any of this story is true, I don't belive the motive of love for Amber was what brought him to these nazi low riders (if this is true).
If he went to them, it would make more sense that he had been planning this for a long time and what his motive was is hard to put a handle on. A $250,000 insurance policy in this day and age doesn't seem like a big enough reason to plan her demise either.
Somehow I think it was a spur of the moment killing.

Actully, I think it likely the motive was pure freedom. I think Scott had been planning this, and was already in the "single" mode when he met Amber. As to when the actual day the event would happen, that may have been somewhat up in the air, but he was running out of time.
I have a feeling getting pregnant sealed Laci's fate, sad to say.
