Tom was never going to be Governor in 2003. However, he could have used this campaign as a stepping stone to the Senate...if he played his cards right. Unfortunately, he got dealt two pair and threw away three hoping for a trip.

Now he has to fold with that pair of tens. Too bad.

Very true. My son lives in California and, I hate to say it, is a Dem. But he wanted to vote for a Republican for Gov because he hated Gray Davis and thought the Dems had come to the end of the line. However, he said McClintock was totally off the wall and he ended up voting for nobody.

Pull in the marginal voters, elect Arnold and then pressure on him to become more conservative in social matters if he wants to be elected again. California is in a bad way, and it's not going to change overnight.

How was that going to happen? According to the surrender monkeys, California will only elect a liberal. This is why they support Arnold. You know - - if you can't beat 'em, join 'em? You should get your story straight.
