Yeah, the only bright side to this is that we finally know something Weasley Clark stands for...

I hadn't heard anything from him so I wondered. He's quite a dissapointment. Thanks for the info.

The left wants us to listen to the spin, the hyperbole, their re-assessment; not THE DIRECT QUOTE. What gets me is the way the talking heads are now trying to say that, because they think McNabb is not overrated, that makes Rush's statement therefore racist. The dull of mind will lap this up, of course.
This is like saying "The Earth is obviously round, Joe Smith was wrong when he said it was flat; therefore, Joe Smith does not believe in Santa Claus."
You can disprove (as much as as is possible) the merits of McNabb relative to his peers, but that doesn't make the statement "Rush is a racist!" true based only on that reasoning.

Reading your post makes me realize that my post had some real thinking supporting it. If you're upset with Rush like the liberal news and sports media, that says something. I agree with TrappedInLiberalHell when he opined "Talking ABOUT racism is racist."I'm not "upset" with what Rush said - I disagree as a matter of football. There are other quarterbacks (Kordell Stewart immediately comes to mind) who fit Rush's example more closely, in terms of being a half-assed ball-player that is propped up by a politically correct media.
I think Rush figured he'd be OK saying the things he usually says without consequence on his radio show. He was out of his element.
Michael, if you "stumbled" half as much as Rush does, you'd have 5 or 10 million listeners.
And I wish I would...[g]

Yikes, isn't this what Rush warned us about when he spoke about defining deviancy down? There is a huge difference. You will not find Conservatives trying to excuse Rush's behavior if it turns out that he has a problem, nor will you find us blaming the messenger. The point I am making in standing with Rush no matter what, is that he has withstood more attacks then any of us ever will, while remaining true to the Conservative cause. Rush could have taken his millions and retired long ago. If Rush did something wrong, those actions will be condemmed, not hidden or watered down like the other side would do. What I am saying that good, bad or ugly, I am on his side because he has always been on mine. He will not be abandoned.

Joe Morgan is worse than Tom "pansy" Jackson. He's was stopped at SFO airport, suspected of carrying drugs, and has a big chip on his shoulder against any whitey who doesn't agree with his liberal outlook on life. The irony is that SFO is the most "Liberal" city in the US and they did this to him.

Get ready for a rough ride, I think Rush is gonna meltdown real soon. That's been predicted for fifteen years, and been predicted by most liberals in the media and on the Hill. Ain't happened yet. Ain't about to happen.

I believe that there are a good number of blacks on the Eagle's defensive lineup....so tell me how Rush was dissing blacks by his comment?
Your comment in #249 should be addressed to someone else.

I won't watch the show since Rush is gone. They have only convinced me that the NFL is just another Politically Correct organization that gives free speech only to liberals!

I'd like to respond to your reply {# 266} but it's incoherent.
Sorry, I was so angry, that I couldn't type straight.
(1) Players are voted to the Pro Bowl. Yes, there is some talent involved but it's just someone's opinion. The point of the Pro Bowl is the same as the Academy awards which is to attack more viewers. It is not an objective measure of talent or ability. So, to say McNabb is great because he was voted into the Pro Bowl is bogus. Much of the voting is determined by how the media describes the player. And the comment was that the media is biased.
(2) Rats don't want any part of society to be an objective measure of ability resulting in success. You should be accepted into a college because you are a good student. You should be accepted if you express the appropriate beliefs such as diversity and victimhood. You may only be rewarded if you espouse the opinions of the Left.
Real football is about a person training himself and participating with a team to move a little ball down the field using the rules prescribed by the game and achieving victory through personal dedication and skill. The day that one team sues another to achieve what they couldn't do on the field is the end of football.
When kids watch football, they realize it doesn't matter if you are black or white or man or woman. The best person for the job is the one who works harder or who was blessed with more ability. No amount of lawyering or appealing to self-esteem will change that.
And sometimes, you fail and you lose and you take responsibility.
Rats can't accept that. Football must end.

I'm probably more conservative than you are. However, in this instance Rush botched-up miserably and I'm unafraid to say so.
I'm obviously a better listener than you are.
You're free to disagree with Rush's opinion. You might want to argue your case on the facts rather than your revised version of what Rush said. Or do you always let the liberals define the playing field for you?
To: Joe_October
Barret Robbins of the Oakland Raiders was voted into the Pro Bowl too. Right before he went nuts on a drunken spree in Mexico forcing his team to send his bipolar ass home before the Superbowl, handing his team a major distraction.
Correct, the Pro Bowl is no measure of greatness.

....Rush botched-up ....
Yea, he could have succeeded by towing the rat line and not saying anything that my offend the Left.
Then, he could get up every Sunday and pretend to by Katie Couric and he would get a few bucks a week for participating. That would have been Great!
Yea, he would have lasted about two or three more weeks before the Rats decided that had to end and trumped up some other charge.
Or, he could have done his job and spoke the truth.
But, since he bothched up, he has to go home to his mansion in Florida satisfied that he is right, living with his millions.
Rush is the most hated man in America because he says things the Left does not like. They being the party of diversity and compassion and democracy and free speach cannot let him speak. He's taken the hits for conservatives and been pounded on like few men (Clarence Thomas is probably the only man that has been beaten like him).
And he still stands and takes it.
Yea, he could be Couric's lap tog. That would be victory.

Kyle Turley has not been voted into the Pro Bowl. He's a great player but other players won't vote him in because he's too hard on them.

Turley is one of the best, but he will never be recognized after the helmet throwing incident. The same is true in basketball of the crazy Dennis Rodman. The best rebounder EVER will never be seen as anything but a nutcase. His fault, but still true.

Yet another dummy that is glad they don't require an IQ test as a prerequisite for membership in FR.
Do you have trouble recognizing yourself in the mirror?
That's a rhetorical question el-stupido.

Turley wasn't recognized before the helmet throwning incident.
(Actually the fans loved him more in New Orleans AFTER the helmet throwing.)
But, if the Pro Bowl was a true measure of greatness, he would have been voted in. The Pro Bowl is not, so to say it says anything definitively about McNabb is bogus.
I like McNabb but he is over rated. Maybe one day, he will be that good but football is not about "potential", it's about "performance".

I was trying to be nice and maybe I wasn't clear.
What I really meant to say was the "intent of the" voter is the best way to measure success.
We don't actually want to measure anything. Just award it.
It's a masterful plan that the Rats have created.
We back Rush or we back football. They hate both.
