So long as the delusion that socialism = progress is accepted, the treason of the intellectuals continuesYou are so right. And I'd add, so long as fascism is considered "right wing" because of its racist component, rather than "left wing" because of its statism, the left can falsely draw a continuum that is labeled racism on one end and socialism on the other, thereby convincing the world that the further you get from socialism, the more "racist" you are.
Note how they are now doing their best to convince minorities that "the system is structurally/institutionally racist." What that means, decoded, is that capitalism = racism just as socialism = progress. We need to fight this lie.

There is a reason that HIV infections in the Arab world are below 1%.Well, I don't believe that for a second. When totalitarian theocracies and socialist regimes are self-reporting, you hear all the time how their literacy rate is fantastic, and no one ever gets VD or commits suicide, and there is no child abuse, etc....

Well, I don't believe that for a second. Sorry, I'm citing WHO numbers there from a map they published last year. I'll give it a quick look to see if I can find it. No promises.

Like I said, I think they let places self-report. I wouldn't be surprised if such a report exists, I just suspect that most regimes with no free press and no independent, private health organizations will miraculously find themselves to be true paradises on earth.

I think an examination also has been long overdue. However, I don't think much of anything will change.

The final blow is that such revisionist cant seeks to destroy capitalism and resurrect Marxism-Leninism from the dead by creating as a chosen instrument the college generations they teach. They're doing it "for the children".

Could be, but that's the data. Much of the WHO data comes from NGOs, not governments, so, although I do agree that your considerations have some merit, there is more reason to give them credence than your intuition suggests.

I see what you mean, but take a peek and see what they find about child sexual abuse. Then remember that in some of these places they marry off girls as young as 6. Chances are, you'll find that they supposedly have very little child sexual abuse. YET..... know what I mean?
Also, aren't the NGOs arranged through the UN? And doesn't the Arab block have the biggest voting block there? I'm sorry, I just don't trust these folks as far as I could throw 'em.

These commie apologists almost make those techno-barbarians in Palestine look like children.
To: wizardoz
I have little argument with any of that, but its more that the NGOs run the UN than the other way around. The arabs hate them.

That means cutting out the competition by controlling access to any alternative. . . The pattern continues in mining, timber, meat, and soon food staples and software coding. A topic that should be covered in every high school civics class:
"A hydraulic empire is so named, because its an empire that rules by controlling water. The most famous example were the Chinese Empires. The Emperor controlled the irrigation systems, so he controlled the country. Revolt was impossible because the Emperor controlled the basic mechanism of life. Dynasties either died out, or were overthrown in inside jobs."
Water, of course, can be replaced by any of the examples you name above.

Agreed. Did you know that the Constitution of the State of California considers water to be "a public good"? In a State that is a virtual desert 7 months a year, that power (to deem what is considered "highest and best use" of water) is thus equivalent to State control of all private property. Talk about collectvism! I have speculated that the provision could be thrown out on the grounds of the guarantee to the people of a republican form of government in Article IV of the US Constitution.
The power to regulate the use of private property is too great to be trusted to government. As you probably know, I wrote a book on it and how to fix it.

If a high school teacher wanted to use an excerpt of your book for a reading assignment for a class, what would he have to do to get permission?

Well, a lot of it is pretty heady stuff for high school students, but if there is something you saw that you like, go ahead.
I've seen high school students who can't put it down and professors who go brain dead trying to get it. There's no telling what kind of reaction you'll get.
If you have a specific question or philosophical issue you would like to address please freepmail me or use the contact address at the website.
Thanks for asking.
