Arabs set Jewish-owned car on fire in Jerusalem
By ETGAR LEFKOVITS
A Jewish-owned vehicle was set on fire in Jerusalem's mixed Abu-Tor neighborhood Saturday afternoon, police said.
Three Arabs caught red handed by police at the scene of the attack, were placed under arrest.
The car, which was parked on Rehov Gichon, was badly damaged in the blaze. The central Jerusalem neighborhood where the attack occurred is part Arab, and part Jewish.
In other violence just outside the city Saturday, a border policeman was lightly wounded in the leg after scores of Palestinians pelted police with stones at the Abu Dis junction during a violent confrontation with security officials.
The rioters were forcibly dispersed by police. Earlier in the day, two far-left activists who were protesting at the site against the occupation were detained by police after calling the border policemen stationed there "murderers," police said.
