Did you say the Libertarian Party is not liberal? And so you posted an editorial from Harry Browne. He is NOT the LP. Is everything that Bush or Buchanan does or says official Republican party dogma? Hardly. (Bush because he is an elected Republican candidate; Buchanan because he was NOT an elected.)
Why is being 'fair and balanced' so difficult?
Heck, most people like to rail on the LP open border plank while forgetting that Bush has been implementing a similar policy despite national security concerns.

Today's
So-called Conservatives have abandoned the First President W and his warnings to avoid foreign entanglements.
They don't realize that most of the current LP 'anti-war' sentiment is rooted in trying to stay faithful to Founding Fathers.

The GOP is turning its back on a popular, conservative Republican to support a Hollywood actor who opposes nearly every social issue the Republicans claim to stand for. The election isn't about social issues. Most social issues are essentially off the table in California, in the sense that there is little popular support for most of the goals of the social conservatives. I really don't understand some elements of the social conservative right. The left has won much of its gains by doing two simple things.
1) Accepting a half loaf over none.
2) Defending that half loaf with all they got.
Conservatives on the other hand will accept nothing less than a whole loaf and usually get nothing. And if on the off chance they get something, they'll give up that half loaf to the left.

And that makes him todays LP just as Buchanan or Falwell or Keyes are the entire Republican party. Get real. They all ran, they all lost. None, even Bush who won, is the party.
But if you want to say that Bush is the Party, then the Republican Party supports open borders.

And W was the Republican nominee in 2000.
According to your implied logic, W is the Republican party. That, by extention means that every Republican embraces open borders, illegal immigrants, HUGE federal education spending, drug subsidies for the 'elderly', down payment subsidies for the 'poor', etc, etc, etc.
I NEVER want to hear about how 'liberal' the LP is when the Repubicans out liberal the Liberals when they finally get the White House, and both houses of Congress.
Honestly, honesty isn't a strong suit for many, many freeper 'conservatives'.

One only has to look at the LP platform and see that their social positions are on par with the ACLU's.

Where's your green faced dope dude picture?
Oh that's right, when you post to your people you need pictures, when you post to me you can use words.
If you were really honest in your comparisons, you'd note the current drift toward fascism.
Why do you support fascism?
I understand you knee jerk reaction against pot smoking, but what is it about the FDA that gives you orgasms? Why do you support the government disallowing medications that are successfully used and dispensed in other countries? Is more government control your idea of freedom?

In case you haven't noticed, the defining moment in our history where we started to go from being seen as a good, liberal republic to an empire was our involvement in WWI.The Spanish American War moved us toward empire before that.

Do you know what the Libertarian Party stands for? <<
If what they stand for bothers you so much, maybe you could convince your fellow Schwartzekennedy supporters to STOP referring to Arnold as a "libertarian" everytime someone mentions his LIBERAL stance on social issues. I can tell you this, "libertarians" certainly don't want "stiffer gun laws" and "governemnt programs for all the people" like your boy Arinold does.

Libertarian - Republican = Democrat. If you prefer the Dems in ofc over the GOP, just say so, don't be dishonest about it. And if you truly think that there is no difference between the Dems and the Republicans, you can't really be reasoned with. Such distorted viewpoints are not based on factual reason, so reason can't be used to argue with those types.
Its best to leave them alone, and reach out to others who are logical-minded and understand the big picture. The LP is a dead end street; those who waste their time and votes on it are not interested in results, or in keeping the Dems at bay. Lord knows what they are interested in, but who cares? There's not enough of them to worry about. LOL, if there were, they would have their own site, and not have to frequent authentic conservative sites for gullible and irrational souls that are fooled by their bogus arguments.....

pro-guns, pro-property rights, pro-military, pro-limited government, pro-privacy rights, need any more? Conservative Republicans are libertarians, without the embarrassing baggage.
