"A Sudden Rash of Negative Stories About Conservatives"

Howard Kurtz, writing in the Washington Post notes the sudden appearance of multiple stories critical of various conservative symbols and causes.  Liberals love it, and conservatives claim conspiracy.  Whatever.   A Wall Street Journal columnist notes that it represents ''an outsized, mad hostility that even the assault on Clinton, which was poisonous, does not match,'' she said. ''A bottom level of partisan craziness and zealousness has infected the media.''

The Los Angeles Times dropped an October surprise on Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday, running detailed interviews with six women who say the actor groped them during the last 30 years.

The New York Daily News and National Enquirer threw Rush Limbaugh for a loss with reports that he is under investigation for buying illegal painkillers, hours after Limbaugh quit as a football commentator because of racially charged comments.

And major news organizations pounded the Bush administration for a fifth day for outing a CIA operative to columnist Robert Novak.

Similar analysis here, with the addition of the accusation that the FR is a hate group:

Did Debbie Reyes Pull the Trigger Too Early?

The left is hysterical over the WMD situation. That is until WMDs are found....

The Kay Report (interim) is out. There is plenty evidence in it of programs. I urge everyone to stop building up the suspense. Read the Report.

The anti-Bushies will have traction as long as

NO WEAPONS FOUND = NO IMMINENT DANGER = BUSH LIED

We invaded a country because Saddam was intent on developing or acquiring WMDs when able. We didn't know how close and how many, but he was close. That is proven. No more suspense!

The ridiculous accusation "Bush lied" is finito. He didn't. Now, it is still extremely important for a lot of reasons to find what weapons and materials are, uh, findable.

Widely available, but marginalized.

The ones that tried to paint Rush as a racist/bigot for the past 15 years now feel they've been vindicated.

I disagree, but tell that to a casual observer of the "mainstream" media.

I just wonder what would happen if we all came out FR and other sources of Conservative and Republican news and veiws and started calling the dems/libs what they are

Communist !

Do you think it would change the whole montra of the medias bias or would they embrace it and try to run with it ?

I think thier reaction would be to embrace it and run with it the whole while trying to spin it into something beutiful and meaningful.

We fought the russians when they were communistic in their veiws and won [Thank you Ronnie Reagan] we tried to get them out of our government through Mccarthys works but was thwarted and deemed Unamerican in nature. at every turn when this nation gets a hold on whats wrong they take one more step towards communism and it seems that no one cares.

Lets change the DNC to Destructive National Communists

Im ean if they are going to lie about every move we make its time to fight fire with fire except we will be telling facts and truth !

The casual observer of the mainstream media is the perfect argument for limiting the vote.

Marginalized?? Savage is in every major market. His first book went to the top without one interview or review. His next will be as strong-if not stronger. My wife & I wonder if he is out to provoke a physical assault or attempt to permenantly silence him.

Dr. Laura is really not a political voice, she is just a voice the homosexuals tried to silence. She made more money than Rush ( for some time ). Narcissism also at work in her case-but one could forgive-she was shocked by her success.

Liddy was crude, ditto Boortz. But they have provided good info.

I always listen to any of these guys for the INFORMATION. They proliferate & have taken over AM radio. They do the same things these forums do-they aid in the dissemination of information & ideas. Rush could leave tomorrow & the situation would remain the same. He has done his job well.

The Dems have declared war on Democracy and the Republicans and, if Arnold wins next Tuesday, look for the attacks to be stepped up and get even nastier.

I agree that the Dems have declared war, but I think the nastiness will get worse if Arnold loses. Because, that will signal the Dems that their smear campaigns work.

The Bush administration (IMHO) needs to be refuting this garbage about the CIA thing, and should have never allowed her husband (A Bush hating, retired, no-experience in investigating RAT) to go over there anyway. Yes, drinking "sweet mint tea" is just the right thing to find WOMD... Even now the administration just says "get along...an investigation? ok) Why on earth should there be an investigation of this pack of left wing propaganda. I ams so tired of Republicans not getting into the fight. Sigh. The left lies brazenly, boldly, loudly. when will our guys stand up when they are in the right?

Great thought... Wrong word.

"Communist" has come to be considered a comical term with no real meaning anymore.

To really take them off balance requires a catchy new descriptor/label with some real "stickum" on it!!!

Something the media will willingly "pick up on!"

We need to have a FR contest for this as I just know the talent to find such an adjective is out there!!!

"...nasty attacks on conservatives last week on THIS VERY WEB SITE..."

No kidding!!!

You beat me to that comment!

Conservatives are like a mean, overbearing parent... No fun (boring) and just plain mean and judgemental! The "children" are deathly afraid of them turning off their entertainment machine addiction!!!

The Los Angeles Times dropped an October surprise on Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday, running detailed interviews with six women who say the actor groped them during the last 30 years.

Did the LA Times ever consider this footage of Bill Clinton groping a stewardess' inner thigh "newsworthy"?

She appears to be on the intercomm but does her best to restrain his wandering hand...

I've been getting comfortable with the word "Statist".

The problem with that is that there almost as many statists on the GOP side, sad to say. Although it isn't what is needed here since it doesn't have the punch, what I tend to use is leftist. But the sheeples lack of knowledge doesn't allow it's full ramifications to really get through.
