"A Sudden Rash of Negative Stories About Conservatives"

Howard Kurtz, writing in the Washington Post notes the sudden appearance of multiple stories critical of various conservative symbols and causes.  Liberals love it, and conservatives claim conspiracy.  Whatever.   A Wall Street Journal columnist notes that it represents ''an outsized, mad hostility that even the assault on Clinton, which was poisonous, does not match,'' she said. ''A bottom level of partisan craziness and zealousness has infected the media.''

The Los Angeles Times dropped an October surprise on Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday, running detailed interviews with six women who say the actor groped them during the last 30 years.

The New York Daily News and National Enquirer threw Rush Limbaugh for a loss with reports that he is under investigation for buying illegal painkillers, hours after Limbaugh quit as a football commentator because of racially charged comments.

And major news organizations pounded the Bush administration for a fifth day for outing a CIA operative to columnist Robert Novak.

nyone who believes that the recent rash of negative stories in the media about Republicans is either naive or stupid. This is an orchestrated attack by the DNC in an effort to retain power in CA and regain the WH and Senate next year. If you think this is nasty, this is just the opening salvo. The Dems have declared war on Democracy and the Republicans and, if Arnold wins next Tuesday, look for the attacks to be stepped up and get even nastier.

Make no mistake - the Dems have declared war on democracy and the Republicans. Things are going to get MUCH, MUCH worse! The Dems will see to it.

"In one week, Arnold is a "womanizing nazi", Rush is a "drug adictied racists", and Bob Novack "outs agents"

This being the character and the picture of Republicans and Conservatives, it's a baffling wonder that the citizens of these United States are not massing to fill the Federal and State governments with Liberal Democrats. Why, they are as pure as the wind-driven snow. I haven't heard of this kind of scandal about a liberal Democrat since the "vast right-wing conspiracy" against Bill Clinton by Republicans.

President Bush should be impeached.
Arnold should be in jail instead of running for governor.
Both Rush and Novak should be fired from their jobs never again to be allowed on radio or in print.

And Conservatives and Republicans should take a lesson: Only liberals need apply!

</scarcasm off>

What will the left do if none of their slimey attacks work...

It doesn't matter. The seed of doubt has been planted. From now till the end of time, no matter how innocent a person be prove to be, there will always be that lingering doubt.

You know, if one guy were to walk up to the front of the LA Times building, pull down his pants, and wipe his A$$ with a copy of the front page of the LA Times, he'd probably get arrested. But, if 100 people did it, it'd be a bit harder to arrest all hundred of them. And if 20,000 people did it....

Yes! Hell Yes! What these jackasses don't see is all the shenanigans aren't firing up the liberal base like they hope it will . . . all it's doing is showing us conservatives that we have to get even more involved. In the past we've always just blown off these kinds of things. But no more.

We know we have to attack back. We know we're in a war. And, like you, we're passionate as hell.

Here's a mascot to help you with your LA Times mission . . .

This is the issue in a nutshell. 2002 was the early warning, loss of seats in the Senate. 2004 is the defining election for a generation, much like 1932. The Dems view is they absolutely HAVE to stop Bush and regain one of the houses of Congress. If Bush wins in a landslide and gains are made in Congress, the Dems will be out of power for 20 years.

If this happens, IMHO, there is also a chance that the Democratic Party will fracture and split, too many internal contradictions. The gaggle of groups that make up the Dems will remain Dems as long as they win, if they lose, the radicals will move on to something new.

Faced with this scenario and knowing the Dem’s nature, it is not especially surprising that this will be their tact.

DITTO THAT BRO!

Go watch ANY Doris Day movie from the "Swinging '60s". Old Rock couldn't keep his hands still. On film or behind the scenes.

Would that be the same Michael Savage that was run off MSNBC by the PC crowd?

Let's see...Bob Grant, G Gordon Liddy, Dr. Laura, Michael Savage and now the big prize...Rush.

Pretty soon, we're going to be left with David Broder as the official spokesperson for the "radical right."

The press is the lowest rated group in public confidence polls.

It is the job of the press to report the news. Not slant it. Not filter it. Not spin it, Not distot it. Not bias it.

They don't get it.

Liberals consider their group members too important to be brought down by mere scandal. Their ideology makes them above the mortal slings and arrows. This mindset needs to apply to the conservative by conservatives. It doesn't matter what Rush Limbaugh, President Bush, or any other important member of the conservative elite has done wrong. Their mere participation is too vital and important to let scandal cloud the issues.

I agree... But i have said on some post this viciousness is totally dangerous...There are alot of mentally ill people in society and when you tell people over and over again there is evil on one side those same people will sometimes snap... I worry for the saftey of GW and Rush and maybe even Arnold... This is way past politics, this is getting close to being political assasination. Just pray it does not go further.. But i do tell you anything happens to any of my partys leaders and you are going have what the dems have been trying to creat a full fledge second american revolution. But only one thing will make it funny..Us conservatives have all the guns.

It's time to get it on.

Since almost all of the smear stuff tends to be transitory and has to be replaced with new stuff as the old gets stale (or disproved), it seems that the Bush team would do well to conduct minor damage control and then throw it all back at the Dims in the last 3-5 months of the campaign. They have to keep making up new lies and acting like asses. Bush can consolidate with lots of video and sound bites to show what they spent their time doing and have a point-by-point answer to all of it to drive home the point that the Dims are power hungry anti-American slime.

"The silly season of presidential election arrives earlier and earlier each cycle. And when the lib/dems are the ones out-of-power in that cycle, they (and their pulltoys in the media) are significantly more vicious."

Agreed, however there are two major events which occured prior to these attacks: The return to the United States of Peter Paul and the arrest of al-Amudi. Both of these individuals have information that can do great harm to the Clintons and Democratic Party. One can only wonder if Hillary Clinton is behind the purple curtain pulling the strings. She has not joined in this rabid Democrat frontal assault. Could these charges be an orchestrated deflection of media interest away from those two individuals whose information could lay open the carcass of the rotting Democratic Party?

There were some nasty attacks on conservatives last week on THIS VERY WEB SITE by supporters of a liberal movie star. Conservatives aren't safe anywhere, now.
