From the FoxNews story:

"Cline told authorities that some of the drug handoffs took place at a gas station in West Palm Beach, Fla. Limbaugh allegedly would pull up in his car and Cline would hand over a cigar box full of pills in exchange for cash, sources told Fox News."

This just seems too far fetched to me - scratch that - completely unbelievable. The kind of tripe that the Enquirer loves to smell up the supermarkets.

I just can't see Rush doing something like this - a sleazy drive by deal. IF he had a problem with a prescription painkiller, he'd surf doctors until he found one that was free with his scripts. Even then, I wouldn't believe it until Rush said it himself.

Too much of this story smells. If she was the maid, why not bring the pills directly to the house. No need for parking lot transfers.

And 100 pills a day? In a 16 hour day that is a bit over 6 an hour. With pre show prep and his three hour show (figure 4-6 hours- that is 24-36 pills!), there are lots of people who can testify to any use.

Plus... if she worked for him IN HIS HOUSE, why not just give him the pills AT HOME??? Why the whole elaborate nonsense?

The Enquirer and Al Franken paid her the big bucks to make this up.

This is a little strange. If she worked for him, why not just have her bring it into the house? Why take the chance of getting caught outside, at a gas station??? Very strange.

Although I'm waiting to hear what Rush has to say about this...I don't doubt that it could happen. Drug addiction does strange things to people. ESPECIALLY when they really are in pain.

Yes, that part of the story is beyond bogus - it is counterfactual. why didnt she just come to his house? she was his maid supposedly, she knew who he was and where he lived.

Day after day we show how even the "journal of record" the New York Slimes gets it *wrong* - like their bashing of Arnold yesterday about the Hitler quote, today retracted as he actually said the opposite of what they implied.

And now we are supposed to take the word of a drug dealer *as given to the National Enquirer* that brings down the man the left would *love* to hang, draw and quarter ... As Arlen would say: "Not proven". Wait and see. Truth will out.
