Amen to prayers posted and thank you everyone for including Brad in your prayers. We recieved no bad news from his travel back into Iraq. Praise God!
I need to add both of his brothers to our daily list. Stuart is deployed in Afghanistan and the oldest of the three Graham has recieved orders for transfer to a unit that is going to Iraq next year.
This is a big pill for Grahams family to swallow and his wife needs prayers to come to grips that his husband is leaving her and their son for a while. This was sudden and a surprise for the family.

We are pleased that Brad has arrived safely to his destination in Iraq. We are also very willing to add his brothers Stuart and Graham to our list. All three of your boys will be in our hearts for the duration of your vigil.

Blessed Lord God, Our Beloved Father,

We place before you the boys belonging to our friend, armymarinemom. We thank you for delivering Brad to Iraq without incident and we ask that you will continue keeping him closely in your care. Please, Father, bless and keep his brothers Stuart, now in Afghanistan and Graham who will be going to Iraq next year.

Father, surround these boys, their mom, and their entire family with angels, walls of light, and prayer blankets composed of our prayers and your love and the rainbow rays of the many facets and hues of the many qualities which you are. We especially note that Graham's family has particular challenges with the upcoming deployment. Bless them abundantly for the sacrifice they will be making and bring forward the support network of friends and others to help them while Graham is deployed.

We are grateful for this family and all our families who have sent their precious young men and women to stand on the line in far-flung places of the world to protect the rest of us here at home. Our debt of gratitude to them is truly beyond measure.

Please, Father, let our prayers for them manifest as tangible blessings for these families. Guide us each day to become your better servants. Help us to be mindful of the vigil these families are holding every minute of every day, and remind us to fulfill whatever pledges we may have made to you on their behalf. Help us to hear and obey when you send an angel to prompt us while we are sitting in traffic, or washing dishes, or doing other ordinary activities, to breath that short little prayer that can make the difference. Help us to fulfill the admonition of Paul to pray without ceasing!

Father, we are grateful for our entire fine military, our allies, all our civilian support personnel, and all their families. Bring them all home in the fullness of time, safe and truly victorious. Let only your Divine Will be done in this War on Terror. Let only your Divine Will be done with respect to the prayers we offer, for your Will is Perfect.

amen
