The subject as raised, was that McClintock was essentially starting his own party. That's what I stated. I stated it becuase he has rejected the pleas of the CRP leadership, the pleas of nearly every Republican state public official, the pleas of radio personalities and others. He has ignored the pleas of national Republican figures.

Tom is out there leading the McClintock party into oblivion at the cost of the party regulars. Okay, that's Tom's choice. If he doesn't want to be a part of the party, that is his choice. His people think the party is filled with nothing but RINOs. Okay, then by definition they don't want to be a part of it.

Please don't ask me why he should pull for unity. Those issues have been discussed, weighed by everyone concerned, and the majority of people see it differently than Tom. They know what the issues and arguements are. I'm not going to rehash them with you.

Tom has decided to go against nearly everyone. Okay, he hasn't pulled out of the party yet, but he's done in the party. Tom won't get the time of day from this point on. He knows it. And that's why I say he's made his decision to answer only the McClintock party. He has loyalists. Good luck to you guys.

with all due respect D1, it's too bad you can't point to
a single agenda item that the Wilsonegger crowd has used
to reach out to any McC supporters... I guess I would point to sticking a finger in the wind and then finally
getting on board with the car tax repeal, parroting Tom's
axing it the first day in office... but then the Team makes sure they don't give Tom any credit for his efforts.

The GOP platform defines Tom's values, and they don't reflect Arnie's... so maybe you need to form the Arnie
center/left ROADKILL PARTY and go your own way. The platform is the work and vote of the CA Republican grassroots and voters, and if the leaders won't support
it and its RATIFIED planks , then they need to be replaced
for the good of rules and organizational order.

Why don't you believe in that instead of a coronation?
Arnie couldn't get a convention vote for endorsement, so
17 backroom cowards take the against the rules action anyway! Part of the new "just win, baby" code, no doubt.
