So while to an untrained legal ear it does look suspicious, I can see where his attorney said, "If you say one word about this substantively, I'm outta here."That's just another red flag among many.
Look, if someone makes an allegation that you are buying illegal drugs, and you are *completely* innocent, why not just say, "it never happened, I am not involved, or, this is not true".
Sorry, this story has been made much worse by the "no comment" remark.
Again, no one is interested in the football story, and he knows it.
I'd bet the rent he is involved in an illegal act, and there is probably some evidence to support this. JMO.
This whole thing seems pretty damming.

You're right, Rush is probably not *completely* innocent. On the other hand, the extent of his guilt may not be that great. It's possible that he was addicted for a period of time and then was able to shake the habit, in which case the best course of action for him would be the one he's taking now.
We'll all find out the truth within a couple weeks. Most likely Rush had a problem and either has already dealt with it or is currently in rehab.

Because the real world isn't as nice as your world is.

I'm not inteested in ANY football story. I would not even go to a game unless you paid me. The price is $5,000. I'd want to sit on the sidelines with Morgan Fairchild.

You are welcome to your opinion. If I'm under suspicion for anything, I do what my lawyer tells me. End of story. But you handle your legal cases your way.
