A White person cannot say anything about a minority.

The reverse is not true.

Race is a huge worldwide industry.

If you follow the link to the article, there's a poll to freep. Should Rush have said it, or not, is basically the question. Rush is winning the poll.

"It's easier for most Latin guys and it's easier for most minority people because most of us come from heat. You don't find too many brothers in New Hampshire and Maine and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Right?"

"We were brought over here for the heat, right? Isn't that history? Weren't we brought over because we could take the heat?"

"Your skin color is more conducive to heat than it is to the lighter-skinned people. I don't see brothers running around burnt. "That's a fact. I'm not making this up. I'm not seeing some brothers walking around with some white stuff on their ears and noses."

Wow that was MSNBC posting a SLATE article! That's tantamount to a slate writer going into detail about why President Bush was right to go to war with Iraq. THINGS LIKE THIS SIMPLY DO NOT HAPPEN!

Yup...excellent analysis: he's right, Rush is right and the fact's speak for themselves. Only one problem: he never should have said it. Appropriate comment for the EIB but not ESPN. He blew it and he let himself and all conservatives down. I still think he's the best and brilliant and all that, but this was out of line.

Maybe the pressure of the imminent oxycodone story pushed him to act out.

He was setup plain and simple. They were waiting for him to utter one controversial statement and he played into thier hand. The Rats are just filthy.

Rush should have stuck to commenting about McNabb's quarterbacking and not said anything about race. Sports are ruthlessly meritocratic. If a quarterback doesn't produce on the field, he eventually will be replaced. Considering Philidelphia was just one game away from the Super Bowl last year, he's probably a pretty good quarterback.

Brilliant piece. Let's see if other sports writers have the GUTS to come out and speak the truth like this guy. Haven't a clue who he is, but with character like this, I'd buy him a few rounds at any bar of his choice.

Say anything bad - even if totally true - about a black person, lose your job.

Unfair.

The Propaganda Machine is working overtime. The Democrats are ready to scorch the earth; they'll destroy everything they can as they sink into political hell. Ugly people commit ugly acts when they face defeat--and these people are very ugly and very desperate. It's gonna get worse.

Rush Limbaugh made the mistake of dragging his political views into the sports arena.

So let's move on and talk about Steve McNair. One of the best quarterbacks, black or white.

Allen Barra said what I wanted to say. McNabb isn't that good and he alienates opposing fans with his hotdog moves to taunt an opposing team. Case in point, two seasons ago while beating the Bears badly, McNabb carried the ball for a touchdown and then spiked the ball over the goal post.
It was both uncalled for and poor sportsmanship but that's what passes for NFL football today, in addition to too many teams and too many mediocre players. I stopped watching the NFL this year. This effort to paint Rush as a racist is part of the overall media/Democrat effort to destroy the reputation of anyone in the public eye who is CONSERVATIVE. Examples: President Bush, John Ashcroft, Miguel Estrada, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rush Limbaugh. I smell Bill Clinton and Terry McAuliffe behind all of it.
