Yup...excellent analysis: he's right, Rush is right and the fact's speak for themselves. Only one problem: he never should have said it. Appropriate comment for the EIB but not ESPN. He blew it and he let himself and all conservatives down. I still think he's the best and brilliant and all that, but this was out of line.

Maybe the pressure of the imminent oxycodone story pushed him to act out.

Why would it be appropriate for him to make the statement on EIB and not on ESPN?

I agree that there would have been no controversy had he not made the comments; however, it makes no sense for someone to not be able to comment on a racial issue without fearing for his reputation or job. Rush's comments were provacative but in no way were they racist.

At some time, the foolishness has to stop.
