Fox News reporting that "sources" say Mr. Limbaugh had several suppliers. Made note of a couple who were arrested for selling prescription drugs not far from his house.

Also found out that his former maid got paid in the six-figures for her story.

Salinas also mentioned that the housekeeper has immunity.

All of this, spinning out of control. Anyone feel like we're all the target of the great witch hunt? Regardless of what you have done or haven't done, you will get nailed.

Sadly the more details the worse it sounds. Apparently the couple that had been arrested a few weeks ago also had ties to this maid, perhaps prompting her to break the story and collect $$$ while she could.

Seems like the maid may have taken out some "insurance" by wearing this wire and saving emails.

Of course this is ALL speculation based on the reports that are coming in but Florida officials have confirmed there is an investigation involving the sale of prescription drugs that Rush is NOT a part of.

Rush has not came out with a outright denial which is also troubling...

Prayers for the guy if he does have this problem.

IT WAS ME!! I sold the drugs to Rush. Whatever they were, I sold them. Yep.

Send me a freepmail, National Enquirer, let's talk.

I don't see the big deal. Ozzy Osbourne did drugs and he got to have a show. Bush is trying to get free prescription drugs for all the seniors --- at least it sounds like Rush was paying for his own. An awful lot of people are pill poppers.

I'm sorry - if true this is more than a "problem".
Dealing drugs with low-lifes, using your maid as a supplier, breaking the law. If true, he is finished, at least for a while. I hate to see it, but remember our cause and our beliefs are not based on one man. I do agree the attacks are coming in large waves and right now things are dark. This is the best day for liberals in at least 3 years...

It's a WAG on my part, but he might be waiting until tomorrow to talk about it on his show so that he can use as much time as he needs, and speak without interruption.

I did not hear the report the same as you did.

I heard them say there is still no connection to Rush. I heard there was a long-standing undercover op that included his housekeeper and her supplier and other suppliers. I heard that they normally don't go after the users.

The housekeeper has said AFTER SHE WAS CAUGHT that she was supplying Rush.

Rush says he has no knowledge of any investigation.

In other words, the only guilt is guilt by association; and the housekeeper has reason to lie about Rush to save her own hide/deflect attention from her.

I'd suggest this thread is mistitled.

It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you. Liberals are the Borg, and Hillary is their queen. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

As I mentioned on another thread, the tactics employed by the left are cultish, like Scientology uses. Right down to the celebrities out front putting a nice shine on the sh*t they're selling. And OF COURSE the media and its enabler (the Democratic Party) will feign innocence and act like we're paranoid and dangerous.

I'm very serious about this. I don't posit some secret society or anything, only that an unholy bond of convenience exists between the media and the Democrats. Controlling your press is one of the cornerstones of fascism. (And the left calls US fascists).

If this is true, how could Rush be so stupid to use his computer and e-mails?

It's not verbatim, but that's what Fox had in it's "News alert" text bar underneath the talking head.

In Florida, it is illegal to record conversations surreptitiously unless authorized by law enforcement.

This maid must have been working with the local County Attorney in order to wear a wire, otherwise she was committing a crime.

The fact that she admitted to this recording on the advice of her high-power attorney [who has defended big-name Democrats before] suggests that the local County Attorney has been working on this for a while, and she probably has immunity.

Palm Beach is a Democratic-controlled county, so this is a career-making move for the local County Attorney. He will get a lot a name-recognition; he can even run for US Senator Graham's seat next year.

This is a sad day for conservatives. Rush was the first conservative I heard while I was struggling in the murky waters of college.

I will always remember his answer to a caller who asked whether God's exists. After admitting that it is impossible to prove that God exists, Rush went on to say that it is possible to build a good case showing that God exists.

Rush recommended that the caller reads Descartes and Pascal on the subject. I went that day to the library, and checked out books by Descartes and Pascal. I was surprised at their honesty about the self-doubts of a believer; I was also impressed with the strong faith of such great thinkers and scientists.

Needless to say, my life took a turn for better ever since.

If Rush is a hypocritical drug warrior, I am willing to forgive such great character fault, but I will have much less respect for him as a person.

It doesn't bother me at all. There may be a relatively innocent grain of truth to the allegations, which makes a flat denial a lie, and a short explanation sound worse than the truth.

Since Limbaugh has had major surgery (cochlear implants), he has certainly taken painkillers, so he can't just deny the charges by saying, "I've never taken painkillers". And if he's like a lot of people who need painkillers for an extended period, he may well have borrowed a few from friends who had some to spare, including his housekeeper.

Making a denial in a case like that would be tricky.

Poser. It was me that was doing all the sales, and I had the thing set up like Amway - Rush is now one of my double diamond distributors in addition to being a great customer. Its a triumph of the MLM system.

I'm the one that the Enquirer needs to interview.....

I'm sure you are seeing the scrollbar accurately. I can't see it from where I'm sitting.

However, it is a disconnect with the words of Salinas.

this internal server thing is driving me nuts

I have to be honest here. I don't really care if the accusations are true. I know at first blush that sounds bad. I mean, I feel compassion for the guy and I hope he gets better but I really don't care that much about the story. It just doesn't make that much difference in my life. Maybe I am just self-centered.

He is just a talk show host. He is not an elected official disgracing a public office or abusing the public trust.

I like Rush and I hope he has or will kick it. If he broke any laws, he should own up.

Next.

Here is a reason she may be accusing Rush. If in fact she has immunity, she may not be charged for illegal conduct but she may still be liable for tax on the receipts she received for drugs.

A defense to having to pay tax on "ill gotten gains" is that the person was acting as an agent for someone else. Instead of attempting to explain she was acting for several folks as agents that would explain 100's of thousands of dollars, she is going to use the story that she acted on behalf of one person, Rush and that its Rush who is responsible for the taxes.

It sounds like Rush was busy fighting the war on drugs all along. Singlehandedly reducing the black market pill supply in his neighborhood.

Or maybe like Bennett, Dr. Laura, Pat Robertson, et al., we just have another big-mouth hypocrite on our hands.

Here's what doesn't add up: People worth over $100 million find doctors to write scripts for this stuff or supply sample packages given to them by the manufacturer. They don't buy narcotics from the hired help. This just smells of a set up.
