AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.

Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

I will respond in any way I choose. If you don't like it, don't initiate an exchange by posting to me. I never addressed anything to you until you asked me a question.

Is FR preschool or can we all be grown up? Good grief. Quit whining.

Well, Arnold hangs out with the Kennedy men. How else would you expect him to behave? Sheesh...he's got Teddy, Joe Jr., etc. coaching him on how to be demeaning, rude, and arrogant to women. Couldn't be a better model than ole Ted himself.

149:Tom McClintock is a sleazebag, and under no circumstances, will I, or any other decent Republican, support an extremist egotist who thinks himself the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

168: I'd rather a man who admits his humanity than a man who only denies it.

I missed the threads where Tom McClintock denied his humanity, or claimed to be the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Marshall Coleman - who ran as an independent candidate at the behest of senator John Warner against Ollie North and pulled off just anough support to hand the Senate seat to Charles Robb.

I'm notinging Marshall Coleman or John Warner a pass - heck, rather than vote for John Warner, I write Ollie in as a protest.

If McClintock hands this over to Bustamante, he will deserve no better than Coleman and Warner.

All the allegations are lumped together. In 2000, he may have patted a woman on the shoulder. Anonymous source + timely release = falsehood.

It isn't a sexual addiction, it's terminal arrogance

Well you are right on that count too. However, a repeated behavior over the span of some 25+ years, come very close to being addictive behavior.

This is getting to be a pretty nasty thread. But, I suppose that's to be expected, given the subject matter.

Heck, I've already spewed tinfoil-hat theories about Admin Moderator, and we're not even to post #200.

Actually you leftists need to be driven out. McClintock an extremist? On what? Out here he's mainstream, and I'm in a dem leaning state.

Some of these folks have apparently lost their mind. I always thought incoherent babbling and political idolatry was a practice exclusive to liberals. To my dismay I see now I was wrong.

I guess you've gotten so used to the taste, it has become an addiction.

Only a few more days and they'll have to find another thing to bitch and moan about as after 7pm or so Oct. 7, Schwarzenegger will be the newly elected governor of CA, imo.

I bet 'tock is wishing he could have a little excitement about his life discovered and publicized. 'tock can't get mentioned and is being drowned this weekend in the media coverage following Schwarzenegger and Davis... A six bus tour of the state with 220 world wide media people in attendance by Schwarzenegger and the air campaing by Davis... Bustamante and 'tock making phone calls and walking the hoods.

Issa also said there's not enough gratitude in politics, and urged a moment of silence to express our gratitude... for Gray Davis, without whom we couldn't have this opportunity!

ROTFLMAO

I'm not at all surprised that you don't understand the difference between speaking one's mind with a willingness to take whatever is hurled back and whining like a little baby after being called on for cutsie sarcasm.

Remember what I said about the real world. Try it sometime.

I thought you might enjoy this thread, considering how much flack you got on last night's "it never happened - the women are lying" thread.

Apparently inherent in his choice not to grope women, is the claim that Tom McClintock is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Unbelievably stupid admission

100% agree. What was this man thinking?

Nobody I knew believes the LA Times. Everyone was disgusted with the tactics of the Times, and this thing was ready to completely backlash against the newspaper. It was good for another 5 percentage points for Anrold. The intent of the newspaper was so transparent. The timing, the "anonymous" sources ... it stunk to everyone, liberals, conservatives, people on the fence .... that article stunk and everyone knew it.

Then, Arnold steps up, and in one fell swoop validates the claims, vindicates the Times, and makes himself look terrible.

If he doesn't win, this will be why.

The man may just be honest, but it was a politically stupid move.

When I am governor I want to prove to the women that I will be a champion for the women, a champion of the women,"

What are Arnold "but he can win" cronies going to now? Join NOW with him? (Hey, whatever it takes to "win" <^..^>)
