Why We Should Boycott ESPN
Posted on 10/02/2003 7:52:46 AM PDT by Libs R Evil
ESPN could easily have come out and said that Rush said nothing wrong, and said they supported him and wanted him to stay, but instead they sat back and did nothing. IMO anyone who aquiesces to PC naziism, or refuses to stand up against it is part of the problem. IMO its time for a boycott of ESPN.

Ah, I see you're yet another of those who doesn 't understand the 1st Amendment. Freedom of speech in this country wouldn't exist if it were illegal to make statements like Rush made the other day. Was Rush charged with a crime? He wasn't, of course.
To: Mr. Mojo
if you cannot speak your mind politically without being fired are you free to speak your mind politically? Of course not.
I know its probably hard for you but please try and pay attention--I didn't say the first amendment I said free speech.

How about the freedom of employers to be able to both hire and fire whoever the hell they want, for whatever reason? I don't agree with ESPN's decision to fire Rush, but I respect their right to do it.

How about the freedom of employers to be able to both hire and fire whoever the hell they want, for whatever reason?they have that freedom, so what> You have the freedom to run down the street and say "F*&^ you" to every person you meet but that doesn't mean you should.
I don't agree with ESPN's decision to fire Rush, but I respect their right to do it.
Only a fool respects that which is not worthy of respect.
They should have backed him not because they legally owe him a job, but because doing so would be the right thing to do.

Reading comprehesion seems to be a big problem for you. I said I respect ESPN's right to fire Rush, not the decision itself. Frankly, you're just too stupid to converse with. ....and don't take that the wrong way ;)

I'll pass...With friends like you who needs liberals?

According to Fox radio the NFL players are going to boycott because of "Players" a show on espn. It lies about the NFL

I like Rush and if he said that he thought McNabb was over rated and left it at that we wouldn't even be talking about this today.
Crap. If we hadn't cow towed to the libs we wouldn't be stuck in this BS political correctness speech. Vote democratic will you moron?

Again, cretin, you're a party of one on this thread .....no one is insane enough to buy your ridiculous boycott suggestion. Have fun reveling in your stupidity, because you'll have no one to keep you company.
while that may sound harsh
Harsh? lol......It would sound harsh if you had any brains or balls, but unfortunately (for you) your reputation precedes you.
To: Mr. Mojo
And top off your liberal mind numbed crud spewing you offer up yet another argumentum ad majoritum fallacy.
yeah sure and if it were popular to believe that 2+2 is 7 well then you'd be a genius on that one too. But its not
the FACT is, whatever you think of the popularity of your stupid ass opinion, its still, just like you, a steaming, liberalism-enabling, pile of sh*t.

Btw, you didn't answer my question: Do you watch sports? If so, which ones? (And no, "men's" figure skating doesn't count)

They brought Rush on to throw the flag and ask tough questions! And it wasn't politics! Although I didn't agree a bit with what he said! And thought it was a bone headed question! He had every right to say it! And I didn't find it to be the least bit racist!
I've listened to hours of poor Mcnabb for what Rush suggested! And I happen to think he's a Good QB, but where do they get poor Mcnabb! All the radio sports programs were talking about it with shrinks and everything! Come On! because one man throws out his piont of view?

Vote democratic will you moron
Get bent CREEP!!!!

I know what you're saying. If the comments were uttered by one of ESPN's second or third tier commentators no one would have hardly raised an eyebrow. But I would hesitate to call it an abridgement of his freedom of speech. He can still say whatever he pleases on the radio.
To: Libs R Evil
I'm doing my part, I've never watched it, and never will.

I've been in a de facto boycott of ESPN for years. I quit watching sports ages ago. Does that count?
