Arnold for Governor -- Because Winning is Everything, and Character Doesn't Count!
me ^ | October 1, 2003 | Joe Schembrie

Posted on 10/01/2003 5:32:28 PM PDT by JoeSchem

How do you face your kids after you've voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger?

"Son, I want you to follow the rules, go to church, don't take drugs, don't mess around sexually, study hard, and above all, stand by your principles."

"Why, dad?"

"Well, so you'll be a success."

"But Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't do any of those things, and he's governor of California!"

"Son, if you act according to principle, you'll have my respect."

"Dad, you voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger! And Tom McClintock acted according to principle, and you were disgusted with him."

"Go your room, son."

"Can't do that, dad. You see, I forged your name to some papers and sold the house. The new owners will be arriving shortly. I guess you could seek legal counsel, but lawyers cost money, and I cleaned out your bank account too. I'll be leaving now -- but dad, thanks for all you taught me -- about how winning is everything, and character doesn't count."

You sound like a cry baby....Winning isn't eveything, and those who support Arnold should not be put in a category in such a silly and childish manner as you are doing...it seems to me that it is the McClintock supporters (he is the best man without a doubt) who are the "winning is everything" gaggle of honking geese...

VOTE PRINCIPLE, even if doing so elects a SOCIALIST democrat who has already helped to rape the state....Boy, that principled vote is such a BRILLIANT and HONORABLE plan...."Yeah, we lost the war because my platoon was TRUE and would NOT would not help the entire company. The company was not 100% true to the Army Manual...but WE WERE! We were true patriots"...But we lost the war!!!! "What does that matter. We true patriots remained TRUE to OUR principles"

Believed what? That Communism exists? And I'm trying to fight it?

Propaganda?

Why would anyone in their right mind turn right around and buy the same model with a different nameplate?

Do you really, honestly, think there's no difference between Cruz & Arnie?

I can tell you the difference between Arnie & Tom that counts - that is, Arnie can win; Tom can't.

No.

The propaganda that has gone forth from day one:

That conservatism just can't win.

"Easily son. When you grow up some more, you'll realize that principle is what really counts. Its not worth it to win at the cost of selling your soul."

Sure thing "son". I had nearly a decade of California politics under my belt when you were still nursing on your momma.

Was it your intent to embarrass yourself?

You're totally right. It's absolutely okay to vote for a liberal pro-gay anti-second-amendment pro-illegal-immigrant chucklehead if the polls show him ahead. Poll numbers are vastly more important than principle and virtue.

No, but it's absolutely okay to vote for a moderate Republican if he's the only man standing between a hispanic supremacist and the governor's office.

Have someone who can think explain that to you.

It appears to me

that the vast overwhelming percentage of voting for

Tom McEgo

is fiercely frustrated p*ssing against the wind or biting one's nose to spite one's own face as a sort of very strange, VERY VAIN, very self-righteous protest.

It may be that a revolution is all that would correct much in CA.

But it may not be the case.

It may well be that Arnold will overhaul far more than the worse of the HYPORATS fear.

Certainly he will have more public will, far more vast numbers of the electorate cheering him eagerly on than even Reagan had.

And, I suspect that legions will be eager to tell him the truth about layers of corruption more so than ever before.

There is

A CHANCE, whatever size of whatever realistic hope

that this NON-politician

CAN and WILL

change Sacramento.

God has used stranger scenarios.

It's not "conservatism" that can't win; it's Tom Mcclintock that can't win.

..that poll by CNN that used over 50% Republicans in a state where they only number 35%?

CNN was push polling McClintock? Gee, I wonder why?

It might well also be the case from God's perspective

that if Tom McEgo got in office, he would lose his relationship with God because of the degree to which power would worsen his already alarmingly evident flaws about arrogance and stubbornness.

You're boring me to death. Can you not think of a single thing of substance to say...or all you all fluff?

Nevermind. I know that answer.

That's not what your side has been saying ad nauseum. Can't count how many times in the last month we've been told that conservatism just can't win in CA these days.

Which is bunk.

A unified conservative movement behind the only conservative in this race could have won.

But you all had to jump on the bandwagon with the star-struck ignorant crowd.

I wonder why so many TomBots, after discounting every poll for weeks, have allowed themselves to be duped by ONE CNN POLL!!!

Hilarious.
