White House won't rule out polygraphs in leak probe

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The White House pledged full cooperation Wednesday with a Justice Department probe into the leak of a CIA operative's name, and a spokesman did not rule out the possibility that Bush administration employees could face lie-detector tests.

It just so happened that I understand the Democrats on the Hill leaked the fact that this report had been made about this particular situation.

Who gave the Dems this information ?

Helle Dale called for polygraphing everybody in a column in today's Washington Times.

Just a guess, but when Tenet referred the matter to Justice for an investigation, he prolly had to inform the Congress Intel people along with the WH.

IMO, Tenet could've squashed this.

Well, there you have it. She is no longer covert, so there's no foul. Case closed.

Then, IMO, there is a valid case.

Her cover was an overt WND analyst but a manager in the Ops means access, knowledge and involvement in the operations side.

Bush WH should do an immediate hangout; damage control time. Throw a staffer to the lions.

Don't let it go higher; major scandals when u start pulling on a string and the whole sweater unravels.

The Justice Department should polygraph CIA Director George Tenent, a Clinton Appointee.

A polygraph dragnet is not likely to help in this investigation. Polygraph "testing" is junk science. It has an inherent bias against the truthful, and yet is easily defeated through the use of simple countermeasures that polygraph operators cannot detect.
