That is convoluted, but if you want to delude yourself into thinking how patriotic you are, go right ahead. And from the looks of the job market, I would say that no jobs have been created, so the numbers are not on your side for your argument.

You don't have many friends, do you?

Laz, I noticed all of Messenger2004 posts have been pulled off this thread. Why? I would think after all the taunts and lies Texas_Dawg's would be pulled.

Anyone, why were Messenger2004's posts pulled? Has he/she been banned?

I think it was voluntary. He or she seemed to have some serious inside-the-beltway connections, then revealed where he or she lived and the last name. Might have thought the better of it and asked for a nuking.

You're weird.

None of my statements were socialist. I've offered no support for any type of federal action whatsoever. You support the use of Hb-1 workers which is only possible if the federal government grants companies permission to do so and then you claim that telling the federal government to quit is socialist.

You are willing to trade 100 manufacturing jobs for 200 jobs as a stockman at wal-mart? Where is the benefit to capitalism in that? Are automakers better off for selling 200 Escorts rather than 100 Cadillacs?

After calling me a socialist you still haven't made one statement on the role of a capitalist employee. I don't think you grasp the concept and until you do you will continue to be dismissed by the socialist who think you represent everything evil about capitalist and the true capitalist who think you are giving them a bad name.

As for your last point, I'm not sure that selling all of our business interests to the Chinese is a basic principle of capitalism either

OK, fine... we both are against federal government intervention. So here's the deal: we end the H1-B program completely and let anyone from India who would like to move here to do so. No restrictions on businesses, no federal government telling Americans who they can and can't hire, no federal H1-B programs. Would that be OK with you?

Actually, I believe in that in serious cases of national security (i.e. I support the Cuban embargo)

So Cuba is a national security threat, but China is not.

You are nucking futz.

What in the world does this mean? Is there some difference in an employee willing to do a job for $20,000 and one who won't do the same job for less than $50,000? What does it matter who is doing the job? "Capitalist employees" and "Capitalist owners" are just stupid terms you've created to excuse what you support here: federal restrictions on who businesses can hire to work for them.

No, Texas_Fraud, that would not be okay. That would be tantamount to erasing our borders, and I know Globalist Boy (you) would love that, but we Murricans just won't permit it.

Lose the gov't intervention (H-1B) but we ain't erasing our borders.

So Cuba is a national security threat

It would be without the embargo against it. I support the one against North Korea as well. What you support towards China would literally cost millions of Americans jobs, do nothing to weaken China's Communist Party, and be a total disaster. Do you run your own business, Laz? Do you ever wonder why?

Nor do I support erasing our borders. But I do support economic freedom for Americans which you do not. You're also a raging racist against Asians as you've demonstrated repeatedly here. Like I say, I'd love to know what the Georgians working near you think of this angry, racist, Yankee working next to them. How much you want to bet a lot of them hate you? Man... I'd love to know. Oh well.

Hey, that was almost civil:) Hell yeah, get the federal government out of the way. Bring all the Indians you want over here, let them compete with the Americans and if they blow them away, shame on the Americans. That's the point I've been hoping you would address.

A capitalist worker has the responsibility of remaining employable, but a capitalist employer realizes that his best asset is a productive worker who is able, not only to produce, but has the means to consume. Employing outside of the capitalist system means the employee is no longer a consumer.

So why don't you just push for them to allow 5 million H1-Bs or whatever? What would the difference be?

Old Texas Fraud has posted teh Steel Consumer's Group study commissioned by them that surprise surprise found a whole lot of jobs lost by the steel tariff becuase they could not purchase steel at a future price even lower than what they were paying at the time the tariffs went into effect. Now there are many things wrong with the details of the study as far as assumtions that do not jobe with independant research anout what the price of steelk actually was but the mathemetics of regression analysis on the cost side going from their input numbersa doea work but they did not apply the same mathematics to the the benefit side of the tariff so everything else is irrelevant.

One study is not multiple studies. It is one study that waxs biased from the start and reached a predetermined conclusion. It is available via the Cato institute and the Steel consumer's group and really should be read to get an understanding of regression analysis.

Too bad the Texas_Fraud never really took the time to read it. I am sorry I do not have the study handy as a link becuase I would post it and even quote it for its own discrediting. the take a simple number of the jobs at risk with no tariffs in the Steel Industry and only in the steel industry and they minimize taht to compare against using all kinds of multipliers for those jobs supposedly lost in the Steel consuming industries. They also factor in potential future exports from teh lowered price of steel. They presume some direct job losses from pre existing moves of factories offshore. It really is inbteresting how they came to their conclusion but if we forego all those criticisms and just look at the math it is still faulty becuase of the failure to use the same techniques for both sides.

Of course Texsas_Dawg is a liar who hads yet to do more than post the same study multiple times.

BBBBWWWWWAAAAHAHHAHHAHHHAHAHAH!!!! Yes, Cuba with the old Soviet Pauk class coast-guard-style ships, the 1970's era Mig-23's.... You are really an idiot, you know that???

I support the one against North Korea as well.

Helll LOOOO sparky -- they've got nukes. Not comparable.

What you support towards China would literally cost millions of Americans jobs, do nothing to weaken China's Communist Party, and be a total disaster.

What exactly do I support towards China, my Chinese friend? It always returns to China, doesn't it, for you. No, you're not Chinese. Not even slightly. Well, except for your nationality.

Do you run your own business, Laz? Do you ever wonder why?

As a matter of fact, jerk -- I will be, shortly. :o)

Funny and there are several others just as bad on this forum. They are quick with the personal abuse then when one finnaly takes teh time to post the sources of the statements they refuse to acknowledge the statements they made. I had one poster where I told him in advance that if he wanted the source of a particular statement he had to pay me a $250/hr research fee eight hour minimum. He claimed to have called Zurich switzerland to talk to the WTO head librarian and then when I found the document on the WTO web site showing that since 1993 the WTO has been committed to wealth re-distribution he refused to make the donation of my fee to Free Republic. Typical just like ol' Texas Fraud.

Quick with the one liner and always sloppy with facts.

Yeah, you like national borders, as long as unlimited immigration can occur willy-nilly and without any thought to national borders.

You really are a complete moron. Do you even read what you post? Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look?

You're also a raging racist against Asians as you've demonstrated repeatedly here.

Texas_Fraud strikes again. Post the quote where I say racist things about Chinese. And the word 'Chinaman' is not racist, as far as I know, s'ya can't use that.

Like I say, I'd love to know what the Georgians working near you think of this angry, racist, Yankee working next to them. How much you want to bet a lot of them hate you? Man... I'd love to know. Oh well.

I'd like to know what a supposed stock broker is doing posting 80 messages or more in the trading day (9-4 EST) when you might have been calling or emailing clients!

Yeah, yer a broker alright.

Broker than me, anyways.

How embarrassing it would be to lose your job to some 3rd worlder because he's deemed more efficient than you, dollar for dollar.

They will do my job for less than 1/3 of what I am paid because they are from 3rd world pest holes.

I will be willing to work for 1/3 of what I do now once America is a third world pest hole.

Is that what you want?

Of course, once I'm working for 1/3 of what I make now, so will you. Hope you weren't attached to indoor plumbing...

Of course, I work in Defense. Do you want wogs from India, Pakistan and Malaysia doing my job in National Defense?

I didn't think so.
