[history]
An army of political reporters is marshaling its most well-oiled military cliches to describe Wesley Clark's march toward victory in the Democratic primary.
From the moment the retired four-star Army general announced his candidacy last month, it's been cliches aweigh.

The Barracks Emporer has truely crossed the Rubicon of shameless self-promotion. Oops! I'm letting too much Barracks Emporer jargon color my reporting.

Hey! Whatcha doin?
You younger people think this is easy?
Old farts, like me, already have the maximum allowed input in their brains.
Every time you create a new bit of info, we [I] have to throw something old out of it.
Ease up. ;)

How 'bout this bit of jargon....Wesley Clark is the physical embodiment of SNAFU. Or his approach to both domestic and foriegn policy represents a classic Cluster F.....(you get the drift).

I hate it when actors in military garb say "Ayessaypee"
To: .cnI redruM
Yeah, Wes thinks enough civilians will be impressed with all his Fruit Salad that he can go PCS to the White House. And we know Klintoon's Off-Duty Supervisor would be the real HMFIC of our country! That's a Tango Uniform situation that would leave our country AFU if you ask me.

However many yong troop know P-38's only as a novelty item. Heck, most of my young troops don't know a P-38 even as a novelty item. BTW, the "military terms" in this article couldn't float a bad Rambo movie knockoff. Goes to show what the media knows of the military.

Dear God, sad but oh so very true. Well said.

"Welcome aboard, sir," wrote Time magazine. "Clark's announcement that he was running landed like a rocket-propelled grenade in the messy bunker that is the Democratic presidential field." Hmmm... Is it me, or, does this sentence sound silly?
BTW, what the heck is "Bravo Echo?"

Legend is that once
Jackie O. walked in on Jack
as a press guy left.
JFK described
the reporter to an aide
using Navy slang,
saying something like,
"He's a real Charlie Uncle
Nathan Tuna." And
Jackie O. looked blank
and said something like, "What is
that supposed to mean?!"
To: .cnI redruM
"Go left, go le-e-ft!" and down, that's where Wes' campaign's bound.
