Jason Sorens said over on the FSP forums that this article is "wrong" and he has contacted the Guardian editors. I'm sure the characterization of the project is wrong, I know enough people who are part of it and none are motivated primarily by a desire to use drugs legally. I don't think he is either confirming or denying that NH has been chosen. Well know in a few hours one way or another. If it's NOT N.H. one news source has a lot of egg on their face.

Membership of the Free State Project rocketed after an article in Playboy this year. This idea was actually originally floated in Playboy back around 30 years ago or so.
I know a couple of people pretty well who talk about the FSP a lot. Believe me when I tell you they have no intention of ever moving to New Hampshire or any of the other states that always get floated. I'd wager good money the same is probably true of about 90% of the people who talk up FSP all the time.
