I don't approve of putting the police departments in a position to benefit financially from confiscating property. That's what this amounts to.

The outrageous thing here is that property is being taken from people without due process. These people haven't been convicted of any crime, yet their property is being taken from them.
Would you feel differently if the penalty for speeding or other traffic infractions were seizure of your vehicle?

It sounds like you do not want to leave the U.S and go to California. If one state doesn't want to abide by the Constitution in any way, it would be better to cut them off from the USA. It really would be better to let them just join Mexico.

What is "pandering"? Isn't that what Democratic politicians do to win votes? Can we impound the Governors car now when he goes to LA. If giving illegal invaders the right to drive and vote and go to school free isn't pandering what is?

Can you point this out to the L A City Council? They are mostly Dems, also. Davis' taint has left a musky odor on them more than once.
