My Email to Aaron Brown:
Another poor job of reporting last night regarding the supposed leaking of a CIA "operative" and Joe Wilson's wife. First, you barely covered the fact that Joe's wife is really an "analyst" and not undercover, Robert Novak's admission that the Admin. official didn't call him, Joe's wife's name is on his bio website and the fact that Wilson blamed Karl Rove and then had to retract it. In fact, you seemed more than delighted to perpetuate the scandal than actually cover the facts. Once again, Fox news kicks your ass.
Aaron's Response
Gee, I had no idea. I thought we reported all this stuff( except for the bio which makes no sense at all since the question isn't her name but her job) I guess what this really must be is that the Director of the CIA who asked for the investigation is out to get the President.
I have no idea what Fox did or didn't do. I don't even care. I know what we did and we did just fine. Nice to hear from you.

You are exactly right. You are not picking nits at all.
The letter didn't concede any points at all. It was an announcement that an investigation was being conduct, an explanation about why the investigation was being conducted, and a directive to comply fully with the investigation.
That's it. No more, no less. Refreshing though to see a White House that actually ISN'T stonewalling at every turn of the page.

I think that I read someone on FR opine that this is the way that the demoCREEPs are going to try to get into Karl Rove's email.
If they launch an investigation, the investigation is likely to entail Rove's email. Granted, it can't be a fishing expedition, but they might be able to gain some insights on the 2004 "strategery".
Since they can't beat Bush with their candidates AND they can't really beat Bush with the lying and deceit that is the demoCREEPs typical tactics, they need to see the "playbook".
That, or the demoCREEPs are trying to pitch a red herring to cover up the fact that a $50,000 donor to Hillary was just arrested with known financial connections to the terrorist group Hamas.

Send another e-mail, but sign your name 'William Rivers Pitt'.
Aaron likes to hear from him...

Novak reported this several months ago. Why the stink now by the Dimocraps? If they think this will be another PR coup in the President's apparent lower ratings, calling for a special prosecutor, especially since that law has expired, seems to be overkill......or abject desperation.

"Wonder why he would respond?"
In my opinion it's because Lance Romance's comments hit home. He obviously felt the need to argue with them. If the comments were irrelevant, he would have zapped the email.

He is the most pompous of all weasels on that network. He, Judy W., and Bill P. are a perfect trifecta. I can't stand to watch them.
To: Lance Romance
Irked by the comment? Maybe because Fox has more viewers than Headline Snooze, the Communist News Network, and PMSNBC combined.

Sounds like the AG is still active on e-mail after all...

CNN is probably just happy that someone is still willing to write them. Brit Hume is great.

The White House confirmed this morning that she was undercover. Text of an e-mail to White House staff Tuesday from counsel Alberto R. Gonzales PLEASE READ: Important Message From Counsel's Office We were informed last evening by the Department of Justice that it has opened an investigation into possible unauthorized disclosures concerning the identity of an undercover CIA employee. I don't see Valerie's name here.

" Ramesh Ponnuru was alluding to how Wilson seems to be referring back to stories that he, himself, may have started to begin with."
Wilson has been behaving like a loose cannon. This raises the question- Why does his spouse ( or does she? ) have security clearance ? Red flags should have been raised by someone at Langley a long time ago, when a spouse has been behaving as erratically as JW. Could Wilson,be the source for Novak? Wilson admits he spoke to Novak, but, claims that he didn't give him anything. So, it's Novak v Wilson, right there. Wilson should be put under oath, also . Considering the amount of leaks coming out of DC,could Wilson, via his wife,be the source of some of the more egregious ones ? Will the phone records and emails from the Wilsons be investigated ? You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to sense that something is definitely fishy with Joseph Wilson's behavior. Memo to the Democrats: Best not to gleefully open Pandora's Box,if you don't know what will fly out.
