Ashcroft: Justice Department probe will be adequate

(Washington-AP) -- Attorney General John Ashcroft insists a Justice Department probe of the White House will be thorough.

It's aimed at finding out who revealed the name of a C-I-A operative. Her cover was blown after her husband, a former U-S ambassador in Africa, questioned the Bush administration's claim that Iraq tried to buy uranium there.

The attorney general says a full criminal investigation is being done by agency professionals with extensive experience in national security information.

Ashcroft says his department has demanded that the White House and C-I-A provide all relevant documents.

Since it's a criminal matter, Ashcroft is giving few details. He also refused to answer any questions -- such as why he didn't name an independent counsel.

Actually, I know the reason the Dems did this: their golden boy, Wesley, has announced that his priority will be to become a crew member on the Starship Enterprise. (See today's article on Wesley Clark's decision to make "time travel" one of the priorities of his government.)

It's getting so embarrasing to be a member of the Democratic party that they'd rather do anything, even things that are libellous and will probably result in charges against Joe Wilson himself, than let the public focus on the loonies they have set up to "oppose" Bush.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Har Har!!!

These imbeciles can't really believe that they can headline this 4 month old non story for the next 13 months?.

Even the incomptents at the RNC will figure out a counter by that time.
