We who believe in liberty and the presumption of liberty have the Bill of Rights on our side:
As to gun control, we have the Second Amendment.
As to drug control, we have the Ninth Amendment.

"As to drug control, we have the Ninth Amendment"
And just what good has that been doing us? I mean keep in mind that the foundations of the drug war began right after prohibition. Hasnt the 9th had enough time to work its magic?

As long as there is money to be made in the war on drugs, and freedom to be stolen in the war on guns, Congress and the courts won't give a damn about the Bill of Rights. It all comes down to the sacred dollar and how many of them end up under the control of government. If those who love liberty could muster up more money to give to the pimps in Congress and the many state legislatures than they get from the drug dealers on the one hand and that which they steal in taxes on the other, then we could assure liberty for the future. It all comes down to how many politicians we can buy. Ideals and principles don't mean a thing to those corrupt bastards.
