Go to the "Breaking News' column to the right of your computer, screen and then scroll down to the 12th article below yours. What did you find?

It's time for the president to call upon American Muslims to clean up their house.

Sometimes the search function is not so functional. Why not just note
duplicate and provide a link?
To: Principled
Who needs the "search" function when a quick scan of the "breaking news" column shows the obvious.
To: Labyrinthos
Lots of folks think themselves so smart.
To: Labyrinthos
So scan breaking news AND search? No. Search should do it. Besides, you can't always know an article by what a poster puts in the title... obviously this is one of the reasons search isn't as effective as it should be.
I'm surely not the post police, but the post was quite abrasive imo. If your goal is to encourage more care before posting dups, I don't think you got there. it seems though that your post was to try to make someone feel stupid, as if you yourself could never make such an error.
Maybe you believe by ridiculing people they're more likely to listen to you.
Sorry, Labyrinthos... it's been a tough day for me. I get mad too when it seems people are careless. I'm just a bit sensative today... apologies...

We all have those kinds of days. I didn't intend to offend, but rather wanted to make the point with a little more force than simply typing "duplicate post." Can't tell you the number of times of late that a breaking news story is posted within eye sight of a nearly identical breaking news story. Seems to happen a lot more frequently now than in years past.

Yes, but you have to go to the Rothstein story...the dude with the body in the freezer who lived near Pizza Man's last stop. Very strange dude!!

Seems to happen a lot more frequently now than in years past. Yep. Tons of "new" posters means repeated problems 'til they get it.
I guess part of the reason I jumped is due to the instant attack mode that seems prevalent now, likely for the same reason. Seems folks personal attack first and personal attack again later.
It's tough to maintain when you've got trolls and such all about the place - SOOOOO many new posters...
