SINCE WINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING, VOTE FOR THE MOST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE - TEMPLIN
Vote fro Diane Templin Website ^
Posted on 09/30/2003 9:53:49 AM PDT by Chancellor Palpatine
Given that to a principled true conservative winning doesn't matter, there is a candidate on the recall ballot who is truly the most conservative in the race. Diane Templin actually means what she says, as opposed to the lip service paid these issues by Tom McClintock. Here is a part of her platform, taken from her website:
Restoring California to a Constitutional Republic with a Balanced Budget.
Diane Templin's 12-Step program to heal California and to fix California's fiscal problems:
Pray for the wisdom of Solomon to select the best and the brightest as counselors and advisors.
Seek adoption of the Liberty Amendment which would preclude the federal government from engaging "in any business, professional, commercial, financial, or industrial enterprise, except as specified in the Constitution" and repeal the 16th Amendment (income tax)
Repeal the proposed increase in the Car DMV registration fees
Prosecute the individuals in the government and energy companies who colluded to defraud Californians of $42+ Billion dollars and seek to set aside these conflict of interest contracts.
Eliminate all wasteful spending programs and bureaucratic red tape.
Work to reduce the sales tax and State income tax.
Revisit Proposition 13 and lower property taxes
Redo Proposition 187 making it "constitutional". We can't afford to provide benefits and service to illegals.
Make our borders more secure with National Guard, and patrol the California coastline.
Workman's comp reform with reduction of premiums to stop driving the job providers out of California.
Restitution and Jail (Judicial Accountability In Law) for governmental officials who violate the law
Workfare not welfare

If you're going to vote for the most conservative candidate you can find without regard to winning, then Diane is the girl for you.

Voting for losers has not stopped the "principled" Libertarians, the third party gaggle, and self-professed true patriots so far...they consider it a badge of honor to vote "principle", even when doing so elects socialist democrats.

Who said winning isn't everything? If you don't win, you lose. There is no in-between. And if you lose, the bad guy wins.

Good point! ALL CONSERVATIVES in California should save and cast their principled votes ONLY for
McCLINTOCK, TEMPLIN or other true conservatives on the ballot.
NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE G.O.P. CONSERVATIVE VOTES SHOULD GO TO SCHWARZENEGGER. SPREAD THE WORD!! SPREAD IT FAST!!!
Thank you, CP. Great post. Fantastic.

LOL, you could change the name "McClintock" to "Templin" in about 95% of the "McClintock is the only choice for conservatives" posts and they would make exactly the same degree of (non)sense.

In politics as in football, I subscribe to the wisdom of Al Davis: win, baby, win. Second place gets you NOTHING.
Vote YES on recall, and VOTE for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Hey cool, not only that, but she hasn't been in Sacramento for the last 20 years merely spitting against the wind, either.

At least she is not Godless. ;)

Hey, he has accomplished more than that in 20 years - he's managed to draw a nice little salary and to gank well paid legislative assistant jobs for a friend of his ideological string puller. Oh yeah, I nearly forgot about him getting a car out of the deal, too.
So he has accomplished a lot!

At times like these, I'm reminded of the wise words of that master strategist and tactician, Vince Lombardi - "Winning isn't everything, it's the
only thing."
