Beverly Hills homes and stores defaced in graffiti attack The Associated Press Last Updated 8:10 p.m. PDT Monday, September 29, 2003 BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - About 15 homes and stores were vandalized over the weekend with graffiti attacking various religious, political and minority groups, police said Monday. The graffiti was found early Sunday on upscale homes, two clothing retailers and a Pottery Barn store, which included statements hostile to President Bush and Jews, police Lt. Mitch McCann said.

I used to commute through Bel Air (about as ritzy as Beverly Hills) in the very early morning....I saw a helluva lot more in the way of vandalism there - such as shattered car windows for blocks - than I ever did in the poorer sections of the San Fernando Valley.

My feeling is that the destruction comes from criminal punks who can't figure out how to have anything themselves, so they spend effort trying to deface/destroy anything that anyone else has. The damages in ordinary neighborhoods in the San fernando Valley would shock you, and the rise of gang activity runs in a direct ratio.
I finally left when there was a drive by shooting, causing property damage only, in April 1993 on Canoga Ave, in NW San Fernando Valley. My 4 horses were boarded only 1 1/2 blocks west of shootings. Shootings happened on Sat PM. I found out on Tues following. On Wednesday, I started packing and called Bekins man I knew. I left 10 days later with 2 of the 4 horses, and got them the following weekend. I have never regretted it, even tho there was a tremendous drop in my income.
The gangs are so prolific, the cops can't stay on top of their problems. And the graffitti problem was pooh-poohed in it's infancy as "an expression of their culture". It is not any such thing. It is pure unaldulterated damage to something they don't own and never have a prayer of obtaining, so they destroy what you have worked hard for.

Okay people - it's time to start badering your senators and reps - especially if they're democrats. This HATE speech is over the top and now THEIR ACTIONS ARE PUTTING OUR PRESIDENT IN PERIL. WE MUST LET THEM KNOW WE'RE FED UP WITH THIS STUFF.

And .. we need to include the media in this too.

In all our battering of Clinton - we never, ever even came close to suggesting we wanted harm done to Clinton. We just wanted him out of office.
