Do you honestly believe that just because someone would vote for McC means that their vote would automatically translate to Arnold if he (McClintock) dropped out and chose not to endorse anyone or for that matter if he did endorse Arnold?

I don't believe that's the case. There are people that will and would vote for him no matter what.

To continue to desparage their candidate is a slippery slope that I don't think Arnold supporters should keep going down.

As someone pointed out, you still need those people to show up and vote recall YES.

You're not telling me anything I don't already know. If the election were between Schwarzenegger and Bustamante the McClintock folks would proudly stay home. I'm aware of that. And I expect some of them to do just that, another sad off-shoot of this whole McClintock fiasco.
