I'm supporting Arnold for this reason: I believe that an Arnold victory will help Bush in 2004 if Arnold helps him campaign, of course. I believe that Arnold's popularity will help in Bush campaigning around California and will allow some of the people who voted for Arnold to take a look at Bush/Republicans for perhaps the first time. Plus, I'm supporting Arnold because California Republicans need a victory very badly, having gotten trounced recently everywhere. Even if for a RINO, want people out there to pull the (R) level.
If there were a primary, I'd support McClintock, no problem. But due to the uniqueness of this situation, I think that Arnold is the best shot Republicans have, and that Bush has, for 2004.
