French Gun Control For U.S.?

It's no longer a secret the United Nations wants to establish some kind of global tax scheme and impose global gun control. If the United Nations can do both at the same time, it will.

To make certain the United Nations has a clear understanding of the position of the United States, Congressman Ron Paul, along with ten other congressmen, introduced H.R. 3125 - The Right to Keep and Bear Arms Act of 2003.

According to H.R. 3125, Congress finds that: 1. over the past decade, the United Nations has demonstrated a consistent animus to the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and to the right to keep and bear arms; 2. in June 2003, the United Nations sponsored a "Week of Action Against Small Arms"; 3. French President Jacques Chirac and the socialist president of Brazil Luiz Lula da Silva both advocate the imposition of a United Nations' tax on firearms for various utopian purposes; 4. two million largely unarmed people are killed yearly by oppressive genocidal governments throughout the world; and 5. ironically, at the same time the United Nations was working to prohibit Americans from exercising their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was called to investigate the illegal possession of submachine guns by bodyguards to Secretary General of the United Nations Kofi Annan.

H.R. 3125 would prohibit U.S. taxpayer dollars from being used to support or promote any United Nations' actions that could in any way infringe on the Second Amendment. The legislation also expresses the sense of Congress that proposals to tax, or otherwise limit, the right to keep and bear arms are "reprehensible and deserving of condemnation."

H.R. 3125 was introduced on September 17, 2003 with ten original cosponsors which is an impressive number to start. But let's make clear to the United Nations, France, China and to any other country what the position of the United States is. Why do our taxpayer dollars go to the UN period?

French gun control consists of gentlely placing your assault rifle on the ground before running from the enemy.

Why don't they try this in the muslim controls parts of Isreal(West Bank/Gaza strip)? Every time they show a group gathered in those areas there are always an AK-47ish type gun in every other person's hands.

Now we need a bill that would prohibit U.S. taxpayer dollars from being used to support or promote any U.S. government actions, and state and local government actions as well, that could in any way infringe on the Second Amendment.

This bill could use a definition of what would consitute "infringing on the Second Amendment", otherwise, it's just hot air.

Actually they often have M-16s, which seem to be favored by the PA security forces, and by any "irregular" type terrorists who can buy or steal one as well.

Multiculturalism would do wonders for France. Inferior traits tend to recede when mixed into a well-chlorinated gene pool.

Excellent point. As far as any money goes to the UN, restricting it from certain uses such as gun control, would just cause a readjutment of the UN's budget because money is fungible. The UN is a sick joke.

How did the Germans recognize the French soldiers when they invaded? They were the ones without any clothes on.

It is established that the UN wishes to be a global government and that gun control will be a part of their agenda. The recent reliancxe of some SCOTUS justices on foreign precendent bodes ill for their recognition of the right guaranteed by the Second Ammendment. When and if it happens it will be time to make our objections personally to very politician who is against the absolute right guarenteed therein.

I traveled from Upstate NY to DC this summer to lobby my Congresswoman. Before going, I asked a bunch of my friends and associates if there were any messages or issues they wanted me to send or cover during my appointment with the legislative assistant.

My one friend went on his shelf, and took down a single round of .308. He said, "pull this out of your pocket, and hand it to her. Tell her to take a good look at it... the next one will be given to her at 2800 FPS."

Of course he was joking, but I think similar sentiments are shared across this great land.

I just hope it doesn't have to come to that.

Amen to that. However, it is less likely to if more Congresscritters get a message like that your friend gave you. Remember, where the government fears the people there is liberty, but where the people fear the government there is tyranny. I opt for the former.
